My Posts Arent Working

When I try to post in a thread it either doesnt work at all or takes like five tries before it posts and when it does it doesnt show up until like 5 minutes later. Im using Chrome on a macbook if that makes any difference.

Anyone else having this problem?

The posts are just taking like 5 minutes to show up. When you're doing it multiple times you're probably actually posting multiple posts

you would think so but none of them have ended up being double posts. so far at least... though it is a recipe for endless doubles, triples and potentially quads in the posting department

i tried to quote you but my quoting isnt working now for some reason. your testin post was definitely delayed though. i think i may just call it a night on NS and check back tomorrow

Ok, I just cam in here and read your post, Bishop, then hit the back button. When the SD thread listing popped up this thread all the sudden moved down the the 4th in the list and you didn't show up as the last reply.

These latest replies and posts not showing up are really my only complaint about the update. That's a pretty damn big problem though

And now it just said your post doesn't exist......

Honestly every time I click on this thread there are a different combination of posts showing up.....

Yeah there is something screwy going on here. We'll be hard at the tweaks at about 8:30am EST tomorrow. 'll be staying up a bit and entering all of the bugs/tweaks/suggestions into our project tracker.

Please keep the suggestions rolling in and lets get this bitch to perfection!

Remember... the good thing about Newschoolers is that you don't just have to get mad at us, you can tell us what we want and we'll do what we can to give it to you.

well you deleting the post is prolly what was wrong with my quoting function.

the only other thing i would say as far as a suggestion is something that i posted in one of the other threads about moving the rating back to the right.

initially it was something i was like ''meh doesnt bother me ill get used to it'' and the reality is if it doesnt change i will but i did realize that i think it makes scanning a thread more annoying. i know that i dont always read every post in every thread and what is nice about having the post rating on the left is that you can scan and immediately know who posted it and what the rating is whereas now you have to choose whether you scan for the rating or the person who posted. its not a huge deal but it is annoying and just makes scanning a thread for good content slightly more annoying

Yeah that was maybe directed at everyone else. Sorry, admittedly we get a little sensitive because people are so fucking hostile in these situations. They come in guns blazing acting like we killed their family, when really all we want is feedback so we can stoke out the members with what they want.

We have already had one threat of cutting our throats, which was enough fucking internet for one day. Some people just don't appreciate when you want to help them.

I honestly overall like the new update. Obviously nothing is perfect right away, but I trust in you guys and know that you will get it damn near close

Just tried again in same thread on SG. When you play it, you get the Windell's commercial, but the actual video never plays ... at least for me.

I just edited your post to see what was happening, and it looks like you forgot to put the link in between the video tags. It should be working now.

Is anyone else having a similar issue?

only real issue i have is it seems like all of my posts take like 5 miinutes to show up. i used to click reply and when i returned to the forum, the thread containing my recent post would be at the top (or #2 if someone posted elsewhere .5 seconds later)....now it'll be where ever on the page and then randomly pop to the top five minutes later.

We're investigating the issue. It appears to not be consistent, but it has happened from time to time.
