The Camp of Champions is famous for helping people get started on living their dreams. The Camp of Champions Video Intern Contest can start you down the road to being a professional filmmaker in the ski industry. Winning this contest will open all kinds of ski industry doors for you if you play your cards right. Camp of Champions filmers have progressed from camp filmers to all kinds of big things. Big things like Hollywood filmmakers, cinematographers for Red Bull Media House, Toy Soldier Productions, Level 1 Productions and personal filmmakers to the pros, as well as so many other amazing gigs that you'll never know how this contest will change your life till you look back and realize you are living your dream and that it all started at The Camp of Champions.
How To Enter
We've loaded over 30 videos of raw Camp of Champions footage shot by our film crew during the summer of 2012 on to Vimeo. To enter,
download the raw footage by clicking here and make an edit no longer than two minutes. Each video must contain the COC opening credit, riding, overview of the park, one shout out by a camper or pro, sponsor logos and the COC closing credit. There can be no foul language, drinking, drugs, or suggestive lyrics in the music you choose, and you must be a North American resident (excluding Quebec, due to legal reasons outside of Newschoolers and Camp of Champions' control) over the age of 16 to be eligible for this contest. Also keep in mind that by entering this contest you agree that COC and the sponsors of this contest can use your video in any way they choose.
How To Win
All videos must be uploaded before Friday, May 31st at 9pm PST/Midnight EST. Once the deadline for entries has passed, The Camp of Champions staff will take the weekend to look at all of the videos and determine the winner based on the amount of ratings, comments, likes and shares each video receives (so encourage your friends to help you out!) along with which one they like best, and then they'll announce the winner on Monday, June 3rd.
What You'll Win
1st Place: $500 cash, along with an Eira hoodie and toque, a pair of Anon M1 goggles, and a Camp of Champions 25th anniversary Eira collab hoodie.
2nd-25th Place: Eira hoodie and toque, a pair of Anon goggles, and a Camp of Champions 25th anniversary Eira collab hoodie.
1st-10th Place: These videos are combined with the top 10 from Vimeo, and then the overall winner is chosen by Camp of Champions. The grand prize is a month in Whistler at The Camp of Champions interning with of our film crew, along with a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition Camera, an Eira jacket, pant, t-shirt and toque, a pair of Anon M1 goggles, a Red Helmet, and a limited edition Camp of Champions 25th anniversary Eira collab hoodie (for details on the prizing for 2nd - 25th place, check out the Rules & Prizes page). You'll be hanging out with the pros, making connections for the future and getting really good at filming and editing thanks to having some of the best pros on earth as your subjects in the biggest and best summer park anywhere.
