ok, so i watched the movie last night. i thought it was pretty good, it was funny as well. what were your thoughts on the movie? im too lazy to searchbar so if its a repost then let the thread die.

really funny. but not nearly as "smart" or whatever you want to call it, as many people make it out to be.


however the part with the jew inventing machines to get around the sabbath no work requirements made me laugh really hard.

It was funny, but he didn't really help his case much because the only people he interviewed/showed clips of were religious extremists who were reallllllllly far out there

Just sayin he could have made a more informative/less obvious hate if he interviewed joe schmoe who goes to church every sunday...although maybe he was just going for shock value

yea that was a funny part. what i was wondering is why a scientist who help with the human genome project and knows that the world wasnt created by god, is religulous and still believe's that god created the world. that seemed kinda fucked up to me. and he is the only religulous scientist

Not really I only saw it once when it came out so don't remember everything...but i do remember how ridiculous the jesus theme park was lol

there's plenty of religious scientists. they don't have to be separated. understanding the scientific origins and functions of the earth doesn't necessarily rule out one's belief in god.

I'm not a huge bill fan but it was a decent movie. He's kind of an asshole, but some times he  brings up some good points. He's a smart guy.

eh, that's a matter of opinion. i am a christian and still believe in evolution. i'm fascinated by the big bang theory and other scientific concepts that most people would consider to be conflicting with religion. in fact, the catholic church fully acknowledges evolution.

Not in that movie. I though he did a pretty good job. He gave people the chance. Yes he only showed this or that but he was making a movie, and it really brought up some good points. I enjoyed it.

On hihs show he's said some things that pissed me off though, like his comments on ruby ridge. That was just sick and uncalled for. A smart dude, but an asshole to some extent.

Bill is just exposing religion for the corrupt and flawed institution it is. If you are Christian, read Friedrich Nietzsche's "The Gay Science", and you will be disgusted with yourself for ever placing faith in something so ridiculous.

I think almost everyone understands religion isn't logical... So I personally thought the movie was kinda boring. It gets old watching dumb people get interviewed by Bill who is obviously smarter. The best part of the movie was the crazy pot head weed religion dude who lit his hair on fire by mistake.
