The Dual Action toe piece is reinforced in the high stress areas, which improves the overall structural integrity of the binding. The toe piece has a multi-directional, 180 degree, release for maximum performance. The AFD uses a wide Teflon pad which increases friction to increase binding retention. The titanium lateral arms of the Axial 2 Ti heel piece are angled down applying greater pressure to the edge of the ski. The heel has 25mm of elastic travel; the longest travel of any binding on the market. This long travel prevents unwanted pre-releasing, ensuring that your ski will stay on when you want it to. The toe and heel of the Axial² screw pattern is the widest pattern on the market. This wide pattern is a must for wider skis, increasing the torsional interface and creating a stronger coupling between ski and binding. This provides the skier with more leverage and control over the edges, especially on wide skis.
