saw it on friday at the Denver premier. pretty solid film. if you have a chance go see it.

it's playing at a small theater like a mile from my house (for those that live in seattle it's at the harvard exit).

i've never actually been to that theater for some odd reason, but i'm excited!

Saw it tonight in Denver. I really enjoyed the film, it's interesting to see how even counter-culture can be capitalized and commercialized upon.

well, for one, he is hypocritical for criticizing someone for making money by modifying other peoples art when that is what his career is based on. He continually uses copyrighted materials, while at the same time sues others for modifying his work. Second, after meeting him at the DNC, and later watching some interviews with him, he is a pompous asshole fine-arts type. You know the ones, who have a degree from some random school thats completely worthless, but rembrandt or dali are of their alumni? yeah, talks out his ass. and the obey giant, and the obey brand in general, are fucking stupid. I'll give him a point for being a marketing genius; I don't think there is a single brand on earth except obey that can be simultaneously marketed towards hipsters, bros, and the nordstrom market, but his character completely tanks whatever redeeming qualities his salesmanship granted him.

i completly agree with that. shepard is an idiot. although i do think the obey giant is pretty dope. i mean its been around for eons.

Well that certainly clears some things up. I can definitely see that from the movie too, thanks for dropping the knowledge.
