Alright so my friend and I were talking for the longest time about camping out ontop of our mountain. Noone has ever done it, or atleast we have never heard of anyone doing it. So we decided that we were gonna do it this weekend, no matter what people said. We got all our camping stuff together Friday night, partied Friday and then took off to the mountain Saturday morning. We had a bunch of camping equipment so it took us three trips from the base all the way up to the top where our camp was. We had to walk about three hundred feet in waist high snow through the woods to get to the camp. Set up camp and waited till dark to spark up the fire so that noone would see the smoke. It was so windy up there the fire could not stay. So we just cooked up some hotdogs real quick and went into the tent. I have never been so miserable, and cold in my life. The wind up on top was so strong, and loud neither my friend or I could fall asleep. Constant waking up and tossing and turning in a small two man tent. But we battled through it, and got up intime for first tracks. We were so cold and our boots were frozen! Had first tracks all the way to the bottom of the mountain. Got into the lodge and warmed up our boots and gloves. Went back up to the camp and we shoved a bunch of crap in out backpacks, and whatever we could not fit in we had hanging off the side of our packs. When bringing all the equipment down people were just looking at us and laughing, because they all knew what we had done.
So yeah thats it really. It was one of those things where we were talking about it but jsut never did it...till now. Did it once, and will never do it again.
*sparknotes* camped ontop of my mountain with another friend. It was cold as hell and will never do it again. But in the end it was all worth it.
