grab onto the cable get your legs over it and shimmy to the closest lift pole thing. they are set up in like 15-30 foot increments you have to be close to at least one no matter where the lift stops

33 ft. could easily kill you as well.  Breaking your legs before you freeze to death is also not cool.  This guy was smart, which is why his awesome idea got his ass saved.

first off who rides the lift down the hill? anywhere i have ever been, you aren't aloud to do that. If there was actually a sign there and he did it anyways he is shit outta luck. He could argue the lift attendant wasn't doing his job though (and should have seen him and stopped him). This is a tricky situation, id like to know how it plays out.
