Battlefield Bad Company 2 better than MW2?

I honestly think it will be, I've been watching the info and trailers and it just looks sick. It's more team based and I enjoy that.

idk about going that far but it definetly seems more team based and its also sick how when you hit buildings with grenades and stuff they actually blow up instead of looking like nothing happened like how cod does it. Definetly will be getting this

I'm just considering this hard core, because I'd like a game with people who care about team objectives. I'm a CoD fan boy till the end, but I totally think it will be worth the buy to try something new and get away from the stuff in MW2 that upsets me. Not like I can't play both.

I like the idea of the 4 team battle and medics.

and yes I realize the first one sucked ass haha.

They fucked up the series with the frosbite engine. Battlefield 2 was the best shooter of all time IMO, everything worked and it was fun. People generally don't like the battlefield games because there is actually a learning curve. The battlefield series doesn't cater to newbs (not noobs) like the COD series does.

Just my own opinion

the graphics look shitty compared to MW2

and for the people that have beef about CoD catering to noobs, just use guns like the Intervention, which actually require skill

and if everyone else is a noob, shouldn't you be 10th prestige already?

The people that say this ones graphics are worse than MW2 I can't understand, I think they look about the same.

I will be buying this though:

1. Single player will be fucking awesome and hilarious as well. First one was insane and I suspect the second one will be as well.

2. Buildings can get destroyed and there will be vehicles. W@W really REALLY fucked up with how they had tanks in the game and implemented them horribly. The Battlefield series has always done well with their vehicles and balance.

3. Much more team based and if I remember correct you can and will quite often get 36 people to a map doing team based objectives in such a manner that it feels like a full fledged war rather than just a little fire fight, and if I remember correct if you play LAN with friends you can have bots too.

Dont forget to consider MAG in this discussion, I would link you a video but I'm in class right now and dont want to pull up youtube, but definitely check that one out. There is a learning curve for sure and game play is highly objective and based around playing with your buddies a lot.

See thats the main difference too me, I guess its just peoples preference.

I'm a fan of real life sim, CoD is far from it because in reality you don't sprint up the map and start shooting you work in a squad and flank and such.

Battle field 2 was great because you formed a squad and everyone could be a certain role, with the medics, snipers, heavy artillery, tank destroyers and such. I think bad company 2 will be great for the 360.

I almost want a PS3 for that mag game 256 people fighting>!>!

The problem that MAG will have and the Battlefield series has always had is for the most part, games that require squad tactics even for multiplayer are hard cause sometimes you get idiots online that just go do their own thing AND Call of Duty, while NOT!!!! a noob game, is VERY EASY TO PICK UP AND PLAY! The Battlefield series, especially on PC, is notoriously hard to just jump in and do well. Your first day on Battlefield when new to the series online, you will get smoked.

i don't think you can compare the two.  mw2 is more running and gunning while this seems more team orientated.  that is of course unless you're playing a match, but public for public servers mw2 is running and gunning and this game will be working together.

I wish so much right about now that my PC hadn't died. Battlefield 2 was so fucking awesome. I play MW2 pretty much exclusively and I can't help thinking how much better BF2 was. The maps were fucking huge, which is a real problem for me in MW2 since the maps are fucking tiny and you can shoot a fucking shotgun across the map. Not to mention the planes, helicopters, medic class, and overall gameplay.

I don't want to come off as bitter though...

I can still find 24 person servers on PC. Battlefield never dies on PC until the new one comes out. Bad Company kinda got skipped over in the PC world cause it was designed for the story first I think, BC2 though will probably have a great online community. Bad Company 1 had issues cause there were nasty bugs in it from them trying to get the destroyable buildings and stuff.

I always play as a medic cause not many people like to run around saving people, I don't mind it though, kill an opposing team guy grab their set up and then go do work.

call of duty is very easy to pick up and play, yes, but to play at a high competitive level on PC (cevo, old CAL, etc.) is definitely not easy. Battlefield is just as easy to pick up and play as COD if you have any basic knowledge of FPS games

Yeah, you can pick up and play BF2 online but the game types aren't always about team with the most kills, there are a lot of those weird game types that you have to get an objective and escort it back and stuff like that.

And the single player game is like playing a modern version of that old WWII Clint Eastwood movie Kelly's Heroes.




Trailer for the game. Haggard is by far the greatest character in the single player game. The trailer I posted is like the FIRST trailer for it though, cause I don't remember the black guy in it being in the game.

Aaaaaand BC2 will not beat MW2 in my opinion. There may be a couple cool features but I doubt I'll like it more.

All the games will have their ups and downs. I'll most likely be buying all of them though. I've had MAG preordered and playing the beta since before MW2, and I can say after maxing out a few guys. As long as Zipper eventually adds more maps than the beta. It will be amazing. After you know what's going on, MAG was an extremely fun gameplay experience. And no, you don't HAVE to know the strategies behind MAG to enjoy it. Anyone can pick it up and play it like a normal FPS to just shoot people.

MW2, is well, MW2. It's fun, close quarters, fast paced. For the most part. Everyone knows about it so I won't bother.

BFBC2 looks like the winner in my book. Battlefield's always been great games. Ever since 1942, my first online shooter. BF was sick. 1943 is even super fun for being a game just thrown together for 15 bucks. The tanks and planes have always been balanced and the gameplay was never abused. It's rare to see anyone being a little b*tch and playing cheap (to put it nicely) in battlefield games. Everyone chooses their class, and plays accordingly. Hopefully, they'll have a good clan system in this one...

Good too see you can still find games on BF2 i'll install it when I bring my desktop down to the apartment. I'm just ready for a change from CoD all I have played is CoD4 and MW2 for 3 years now and toss a bit of madden in there and thats where I have been stuck gaming. I just want something new for when I get home from a day of school/skiing...FPS are my favorite so may as well give it a go.

Im really excited for this game and have been ever since they i finished BFBC campaign, the destruction looks awesome and I actually want to have tactical objective based gameplay rather than running around in MW2 and just blank firing close range

It's only better by opinion, i like it more than MW2 because it involves more strategy, and it's something new to play. Not to say COD games aren't as good, cause they certainly are. Probably the best FPS around right now. Of all time though Counter Strike takes the cake.

screw MW2, the servers are awful on the xbox 360, they had a massive wave of glitches as well during the few opening months that were unavoidable..  Compared to CoD4, it was a failure.

And everyone uses gay shit like danger close + one man army with thumpers and grenade launchers.  Not to mention the people who run at the speed of sound with pocket knives.  Im at 2nd prestige and if i do manage to play more, im stopping at 3rd

The first Bad company was okay and ive liked the demo for BC2 so far.  Its good that they put in more weapons, balanced out the vehicles and put in alot more features.  Its definitly worth a rent and i'll buy it if i enjoy it.  BTW they have 18 maps and 4 gamemodes which is alot better then past Battlefields.  Plus, you can kill annoying campers by collapsing the building their in.
