that would be one of those things that will eventually make a ski snap - you can't make your ski do all the work (as in constantly land on your tips/tails) you have to land on your feet (and I don't mean you as in the OP, I mean you in general).

Yeah, I don't mean to make afterbangs look like a shit ski i more or less mean it sucks it happens and so on. If anything i just felt like showing NS.

Oh no, don't get me wrong it sucks - but when you first posted it kinda just looked like you were saying the guy did nothing to make it happen. Sometimes skis snap...it happens, and it sucks when it does. But, if people learn to not land backseat and land on their feet then they are less likely to snap - I realize that it's inevitable that you'll land backseat, but if you do it all the time you wear out your skis really fast and then they snap, it doesn't matter what kind of ski you have.

i dont think theyre really a true first generation ski. havent they been skiing and testing them for like 4 years? i might be wrong but thats what i heard

they may have been testing them but they have not been in production.   When people start buying them, thats when the true testing begins.

Now Ive been known to be wrong before, but upon looking closely at that picture you can definitely tell that is the front of the ski, you can see the toepiece of a px12 in the very dark bottom of the picture. Could someone please then explain how landing backseat, once or even multiple times, would contribute to the front 12-14 inches of one ski breaking off? Looks to me like maybe too hard of a butter, a weak core of one skis perhaps? Anyways, I just don't think that could be caused by landing backseat, at least not forwards anyways. Switch backseat=nose of the ski so???

What he did probably would have snapped a lot of skis, I was holding some afterbangs today and they were stiffer than my disorderlys I think.

do people realize that company dont just throw a ski out to the public without testing it! hence Research and Development!!!  this ski has been under testing for years now

ill bet that next years abangs will be modified in some way.  Doesnt matter if its been tested for decades.  Its still a fist gen ski and it is still not perfect.   Hence why some companys put out skis that break left and right (salomon).  You dont think they test them first???

true i wouldbe surprised if it wasnt changed in some way (other than topsheet)  yeah i get what you mean.   and that was my point that all skis go through testing.  no ski is "perfect" there will always be exeptions it comes along with the abuse that we put into our park skis

i can see how that could look like the toe piece, but to me it definitely looks like a heel piece.  which would make much more sense.

Yes thats the nose and i found out what happened,
Any ski would have snapped with what happened. So i logic, i posted a snapped afterbang to show NS.
What happened was got got the ski stuck in the rail somehow and it snapped. Don;t understand how he did it, but he did. Any ski would have snapped unless your bindings released.

I figured it would be something like that...I've seen a ski get caught up in a rail before - it's a shrapnel show...edges, core, topsheet, and other chunks of ski flying everywhere, probably why they couldn't find the rest.

did you read how it happened - it's a pretty tough thing to do, but it happens and when it does it doesn't matter what ski you have, its done.

I hear ya, but I haven't had any yet and I beat the crap out of them today - even did some tree skiing with poor snow coverage (lots of down trees, roots, rocks and stick) and they came out pretty fine. I feel like this is really a ski that can have the snot beat out of it and turn out fine - I really like it, so I wouldn't worry too much.

at first, but it kinda just stops - mine didn't chip at all today (well maybe a little - but that was because one of my friends ran over them at one point). If they do start to chip you can just sand down the wood a little and you'll be good to go again, it's really pretty cool (you don't have to sand them, but you can if it bothers you).

seems that way...really only time will tell - But, I have personally talked to some of the Line pros (Ian Compton and Will Wesson) and they absolutely love the ski and they said they beat the crap out of them last year and they took quite a beating. I wouldn't worry about them - just ski them and have fun, don't try and baby them cause you're afraid to break them - personally I'm going to try and beat and abuse them as much as possible (of course that's cause that's what the Line rep want's me to do with them - but I probably would anyways). Your gonna like them, they're really fun, really poppy, and super fun to play around on. Enjoy.

Rode my afterbangs twice this weekend.  They are super poppy and are absolutely amazing on rails.  I'm about to write a short review on them.

for the record the only snapped skis ive ever seen are ninthwards, suspects, and now afterbangs. people just need to look at lines riders and see what they ride. most of the time they are riding chronics or anthems for the park.

It's actually funny, it wasn't because they bad skis, like i said above and explained what happened any ski would have snapped. The kid was skiing and he went to get on a rail somehow he got it stuck in the end of the rail and since the begining of the rail was a foot up (so people dont catch under the rail) then flat the ski went up the up and stopped at the flat then just snapped.
