it really depends on what skis you ordered. Right now they are pressing Billy goats, and will ship them soon I assume. 181 jeronimos will begin pressing next week or the week after, after that I don't know

wow i was told the jeronimo's would be getting pressed this week. so really they are a month plus behind schedule. fuck

when you buy skis from a small independant company there are tons of benifits, such as personal interaction with the owners, progressive designs and graphics, great warranties and customer service, good quality, skis are built on site not outsourced, the list could go on.

but you have to realize that a company will have at least some restrictions on production amounts when they are set up like that and be prepared for that going in.

i would bet dollars to dominos that the on3p guys are busting their asses working sick hours to get these skis done, so just be patient. you will get them soon enough i'm sure, and from all i hear they will be fucking rad skis when you do get them.

It's not so much the independent company not being able to keep up with demand, it's the fact that the guys lost about 250 man hours last month due to health problems that kept one of them from being able to work. When you only have 3 employees losing one of them for an extended period is a huge blow to efficiency. Certainly nothing that Scott could have anticipated, but you just have to roll with the punches and I know for a guaranteed fact that he is working around the clock to make up for lost time, and if my testers are any guide the final product will not disappoint.

yeah i understand the complications with being a small company and the shit that goes with the process. i was just hoping if anyone had an update since it's been a couple weeks, thats all. i'm stoked for my skis. just anxious i guess.

I have been working with these guys on some things, and I know for a fact that they are busting their asses to get the skis done for you all.

the lack of sam set them back a lot the last few weeks but they're busting their asses...probably too hard...

just remember the problems LINE always used to run into in shipping on time... and they were at a much bigger level than ON3P, even pre-K2. It was more like late fall for them, but ... still... it happens at all levels. and this level is 3 guys hammering on skis for 30 hour, 15 Rockstar workdays.

it's true, i had been gone for a couple weeks for medical reasons, and now i am back at the shop and cutting out billy goats, meticulously hand sanding/profiling tips making them all sexy like, and beveling those sidewalls while scott presses and rowen and our homie greg pwns our new reichmann belt/stone grinder just before we wax and throw them in the hotbox.

because of my absence we have fallen a bit behind and the boys have been working harder than ever so we've gotta give it up to them, i know i have (no homo). i personally apologize to everyone who ordered for the delay and rest assured knowing that we are still busting our humps to try and get skis out the door asap.

we hope everyone is having a safe and sick season so far and we definitely appreciate the patience our customers have had with the delay. we know you're going to be stoked when your skis come to your door so hold out a little longer, it'll be worth it.

The 181 Caylor is not that far down the list, so I would assume that it wouldn't take too long. If you can wait a few weeks for your skis, Im sure you definitely won't be disappointed.

So if were far down the list waiting on say 181 Wrenegades can I realistically expect to see these at my door by the end of Jan? If so I'm sorry to say I can't wait that long, my powder skis are shot and I've been skiing on park skis for the last 2 months so if the delay is that much we may need to discuss the possibility of refunds. I love the skis you guys are building but and fingers crossed that everything comes together for the bros at ON3P.

If that's what you've decided I would go sell your space to someone on TGR. There are guys dying to get their hands on these skis.

From a thread on TGR, this was posted on 12/13...he might have posted the same thing on here somewhere, but I'm just trying to help...

"I will do my best to get an update together for tomorrow morning. Sam ended up missing 2 weeks of work, which for us is around 250+ hrs of work, so we are obviously playing catch up and super busy. I've been waiting for him to get back so I can actually gauge how production flows with all the wheels turning (and me focused on pressing and not everything else) so I can realistically let people know when skis should go out. Things were finally picking up really early yesterday morning and......a heat blanket in our press got pinched, short circuited, and actually caught fire. Yep. The press was actually on fire. We've had some crappy luck, but I think after that we've run out of things to have go wrong . Luckily I was standing right there and there is a fire exstinguisher next to the press for a reason. We lost a hose set up and heat blanket, but everything else was saved. I've spent the last day taking it apart and putting it back together with our spare hose/heat blanket. The reason for it was pretty dumb and something I could have (and now have) easily address - just the blanket getting pinched between some aluminum. Few $ in thin rubber would have gone along way.

Anyway, I am back pressing albit a bit slow for the next three or four hours as I dial the press back in and make sure everything is kosher. Once I am feeling ok about everything I will ramp up again.

Billy goats will start shipping tomorrow. Domestic guys should get a fedex tracking.

I definitely know people are chompin at the bit to get skis and we do appreciate the patience. We are working super hard and doing our best to put out some skis we are super proud of. I am going to send out a mass email to all the customers tomorrow letting them know where I think we stand.

if anyone who ordered skis just can't wait any longer and wants to go a different route, please let me know asap. I obviously don't want to lose customers, and trust me, no one is more stressed and upset about late skis than me, but the last thing I want is people missing skiing. So just let me know if you need a refund. Sucks to be even saying that, as shipping on time is something I've been working towards almost everyday since we moved into this empty space august 1st. But as a lot of people have said, this is a marathon and for us amongst the choas and problems there have been lots of small victories. We've already worked through and figured out a lot, so I do honestly feel good about what we've accomplished in such a short time, even though I am definitely disappointed to miss our delivery date.

As far as shop stuff goes, we've changed and added a lot in the last few weeks to streamline stuff and produce better skis. Totally new base/edging set up which is way cleaner and faster, new sidewall set up that gives the sidewalls an awesome finish, changed our grinding set up around to optimize the space and we realized how bad the lighting was in here, so we added a bunch of lights to help.

As far as delays, I thought we were about 2 weeks behind on my last update, and now feel we are about four weeks. Definitely sucks, but figure people should have an approximate idea for where things stand. We've brought in a bit more help to speed some stuff up, including our buddy Greg whose the head tech at Hillcrest, so we are processing stuff fast once it is out of the press and I am really, really stoked for how the base structure is coming out.

I need to get back to dialing in this press. One thing someone might be able to help us out with - TGR won't work on any of our computers at the factory. Posting this from my phone. Anyone maybe have an idea why? Running firefox....it would make posting an update a ton faster and easier......"

four weeks. dang. well at least they are busting there asses and we know what were getting is worth the wait. hoping he sends out that status email. haven't gotten one yet. to bad they've had so many bumps in the road. hope they don't get anymore. delays suck for everyone

Im not totally sure, but I think you would probably be getting your skis before the end of January, possibly  early January.

At this point if my skis are ready by monday i will drive six hours to pick them up

Hey guys, this is Smail on the girlfriend's user name.  I'm taking them to get mounted now, but as soon as I get back I will post up pics.  They are sick, can't believe the quality of a first year of serious production.  I haven't even ridden them yet and I would like to give Scott and Sam a handshake.  Just in time!  I am heading to Wolf Creek, Crested Butte and Breckenridge for the next couple days!

Pics, sorry they are crappy but I was running out the door so I could get them mounted by tomorrow so a point and shoot in poor lighting is all you get.





Pretty much stuff you have already seen, but it is sweet to finally get them.  Scott bent over backwards to get them here for me, I have a life changing week ahead of me and he was nice enough to ensure my skis got here to make it that much better.  Thanks Sam, Scott, Rowen, and all the others slaving over our skis right now.

I'm sure I will be updating with pics of skiing them, and hopefully another nice review.  I will be in Wolf Creek, Crested Butte, and then back to Breckenridge for the big day, so I will get to put these through just about everything I can think of.

Just gotta get these bindings on and then it's time to do work!
