looking to get one this winter sometime... found this, seems kinda cheap, does anyone have any suggestions cause i heard froma friend something like this would be better to nut up and actually pay for it. thanks.
shoulda mentioned this in my original post. if i could get like a website to look at these or something that would be great. im horrible and searching for stuff. sorry.
Wait for the GoPro HD dude, it sounds beyond sick. Besides everything I mentioned it has:
- Automatic (5mp) photo mode at set intervals while you are recording video
- Easy add ons like double battery pack or lcd addon
- up to 32gb SDHC CARD
Havent used gopro personally but it seems to have some of the best bang for the buck out there a great option. However, if ya got the cash ya can't beat vio pov, think there having a sale right now too, remember seeing something about it on tgr but i cant find the discount anymore. Its burly as shit, iv taken some nasty falls with mine ripped the mount off my helmet and had it end up perfectly fine. Batteries normally last an entire day, picture quality cant be beat by anything out there.
if i wasnt a broke college student i wouldnt have brought up GoPro first... i would have just gone to my motocross buddy who has like a 1000 dollar one and asked where he got it. i hate being broke, but thanks.
Love my Go Pro Hero Wide. Have so much fun all year long with it. Super fun to use use cliff jumping too. I paid $150 and got the extra mounts which if you shop, you could probably save a few bucks. And like somebody said, get a bunch of AAA Lithium batteries for the cold as the NiHi are cheap but will die quickly in the cold. It takes really nice shots too (for the money). I use it just for the wide lense camera sometimes too.
The website has a bunch of demo videos but here is one I did after some rope swinging just to show a friend what it could do.
if anyone is interested in the viosport, i have an extra 110-degree wide angle camera head and cable. it was used a handful of times last year, but still works fine. you'd still need to get the main recorder unit and remote control. here's the fullsetup: http://www.vio-pov.com/products/pov_1.php. just if anyone is trying to piece together a viosport setup for cheaper.
