Amplid VS. Line

Im trying to pick up a 2nd pair of skis,(and no im not some rich kid buying everything i work like most ppl in america) but im just curious which is better? I like the Antidogmas and have heard nothing but good about these but then my friends are telling me to get some Afterbangs so idk which to get, so figured id ask NS! help a brotha out!! thanks!!

ive seen antidogma with edge ripped out and afterbang cracked in two. id go with afterbang line is super legit

depends on the stiffness you are looking for, i would go afterbangs if you want a softer and arguabley more durable ski.

no, those are popular on NS as far as skis to talk about that we never rode for more than a day to five days..  For anybody store-flexing them, notice they seem more stiff than you would have thought?  but that is ok because they will break in to butterness.  but then break in more.  then more.  then they will be just like Invaders.  IMO.

Haven't skied either(have skied Invaders/Anthems, which I hated) but from what I here, AntiDs are super durable and an amazing ski.  plus it is "tested" now since it was an 09 ski uncahnged for 2010, so you are for sure getting something good(well, you know what I mean by that).  I think you can score cheap 09s somewhere..

so ABangs are new which can be fine, but Suspects had a lot of Hype going into this season didn't they?  how did many of those end up...just saying.

damn, that kills my post a bit about AntiD being durable.

Well my input is go Armada if AntiD=problematic(I would not know) since PCs are a super awesome fast stable jump and pipe ski that kills all park features, 09 and 2010 Thalls are a super awesome ski that butters amazingly and still works great on all park features(which you could compare to Afterbangs purpose, but I would think THalls do it better) or go a bit inbetween with AR6s, which can do everything in park great.  Not to mention, how many threads do you see of durability problems on 09 Armadas?(other than people complaining about chipped sidewalls, which I can live with on my PCs)

I don't know a lot about afterbangs since they just came out and are completely different from any other ski ever. But I do know that they're replacing the invader so they're definitely gonna be one of the softer skis out there. And from what it sounds like from everyone I've talked to who've actually ridden them They're a super fun ski for lighter people. so if you're like 150 160ish or lighter they'd probably be good. Any more than that you'd probably flex right through them every time. The Antidogma is a much stiffer and slightly wider ski as I'm sure you already know. And have super good pop. They're a super solid ski that'll be good on jumps and rails and apparently back country if you're Tom Wallisch.

I already have my afterbangs and they "seem" pretty awesome haha. The flex is nice but not too soft, but I am sure it will be broken in and pretty soft once you ride them.

how many days/how hard skiing on them those days so far?  I am just remembering all those rockered Anthems and Invaders.

I got Armada AR6s last year and loved them. Super durable, they have a great flex and Armada's customer support is very helpful (I am told. I never had to use it because of the super durableness). I know you didn't list them but they are an amazing ski.

haha none. I have just flexed them on the ground. Dude check out this link. They tested the afterbangs for a whole year on urban. They are going to hold up great. Ian compton told me his are holding up well. Watch the whole video.

yea my friends antidogma edges ripped off same with my townships in under 30 days. They have flat edges that dont have the teeth (flanged?) so thats why i think they rip out easier even though amplid rep said it was stronger.
Right now i think your just buying of hype because the skis are two completly different skis.

well there not making invaders next year and id say the difference is the whole conrstuction afterbangs built like a skatboard invader like every other ski

and i thought you should know. t-wall dropped amplid...

ive ridden both..

there both bomb skis, its kinda personal prefference id say tho. and i never had durability issues with my abangs. and i had ripped the edges out of both pairs of my previous skis ninthwards and invaders. but the afterbangs held up all season and were a great ski. but afterbangs were a super unique and fun ski. if you have specific questions ill answer them

Yea I believe it is.  So you can't based the structure durability based on his pair.  That is the only pair I have seen destroyed.  I think they will hold up great.

im not trying to call you out or anything but that might of been a defect of the ski or it was just a total lie. amplids are the toughest most durable ski ive ever skid i bet one pair could last 3 years of hard rail sliding, big jumps, and urban. im just saying id get the antiDs, because of there durability and all around versatility, this year or wait a year to see if the afterbangs i really worth the hype.

here is the thread where someone sold some antidogmas with out edge. he said it took 4 weeks for it to fall out.

on your 15th day of riding, the only difference will be the butter zones are a bit closer on A Bangs. 

And yes, line has a lot of good advertising.  Remember how persuasive the Anthem video was?  And as far as durability, they may have that sorted out on A Bangs, but I still bet they will soften up a ton after a few days(to invader ish) of riding.  THalls should be the comparison people make, but for some reason they are not..

once agian
friends dogmas edges ripped out 20-30th day
my township edges ripped out day 22 (now im missing a good 3 feet of edge on the one ski which i don't mind but hte base is starting to peel off and i cant stop on east coast ice)
tried to warranty them but it was NOT a manufaturing defect
