New FKS

So I know that it is a for sure thing on their release... But does anyone have any info on these?

My questions are:
Din range(what ones are they making again)?
Price?
Color?
Wider screw pattern in the heel?

the only rumor i heard was that are re-making the 185's but i am no where near positive that this is true

i heard they're gonna be 8-18 din, orange color, and same shape as older ones, they may have changed the color but a lot of rossi riders were using orange ones

thats what i heard, 8-18 is a new din isnt it, were the p18's not 10-18, i guess it kind of eliminates the need for a 155

same here. although i heard they were probably going to change up the color scheme because the orange was a thing for their team riders. either way, i don't care what color they are. they could be olive and puke yellow for all i care, i'll still be skiing on them.

i just checked my 155's and theyre 6-15 and i thought they were 8 to 15 so i figured 185's were 10-18

i love the orange, i wish they'd make that

i have a pair of blue p15's that are so sick looking, the only thing i would ditch them for would be orange fks :)

haha I read that too, made me laugh..

I just talked to one of the gear guys on backcountry and he said they will be stocking them for this winter around September... so yeah, that's when they will be available according to backcountry, he also said there should be a 15 din version too..

Keep in mind that 8-18 that was listed on P-18 models was the equivalent to 10-18. it was just marked as 8-18 for shits. If you look at the PX 18 the din is 10-18, which has the same spring as the P-18.
Likewise the 6-15 on the P-15 is about equivalent to most 8-15 in terms of releasing.

Also do the words Permanently Out of Stock mean anything to you guys. I hardly call that proof that they are coming back.

fks 155...hell yeah.

im a skinny bastard, but bindings break on me. Ive had an old pair of rossi fks 155s for a few years, aside for a few scratches they are still performing awesome. it would be nice to purchase new or second a pair in a couple of years

I realize it's completely unrelated to the FKS comeback, but I figured I'm stoked on FKS and I'm stoked on post number 500, so why not?

i highly doubt they will come out with it. i can see MAYBE a limited production but i cant really see mass production.

rossi rep told me they are done making FKS forever...but that is also skeptical so we shall see.

i am like 99% sure that i saw some white turntable bindings in a recent edit (maybe the mammoth ones, i dunno) and they looked dope. maybe the 155s will be white?

oh, and to the naysayers,  backcountry says "permanently out of stock" a lot. they use it for old models and such. A 2007 wax setup i found said the same thing, but the 2008 model is in stock, so i wouldnt pay that warning much heed

agreed. how about the "look" brand name? FYI - dynastar killed the look name last season. all bindings are now re-branded as dynastar

I dont know what to think.

All I have to say is I hope they come out with a 155 version. With customizable colors.

And different plate configurations anywhere from mounting the binding IN the ski (like a countersink screw) to having risers 6 inches above the ski. Talk about effortless turn initiation. LEGIT

Also, I would like to see a remote control device that would release the bindings when pressed. Then, uitilizing a strong magnet, it could brings the skis back to your feet in the air. This way the collest ssx tricky style of tricks could be performed with extra steeze.


Also, they should reinforce the pole jabby part too

All I know is that a reputable tech I know told me that the Dynastar rep was pretty sure that "some sort of turntable binding was going to be re released this fall".

I can tell you guys with 100% certainty that the FKS line is returning. I just bought a new pair of FKS 120s, newest style plastic toe pieces with upward release with the all metal fks heel. These were brand new from someone who ended up not using them on their race skis for this year. BTW they are all black. So yes they are back and every jibber you know will be trying to get their hands on a pair next year.

I don't understand why for previous p18 they had the Blue ones on their website for 2007, and the have the black ones for 2010. If they weren't planning on selling anymore why would the go through the hassel of putting the new picture up instead of the old?

yes, I realize this but why bother change the picture regardless, to make it actually say 2010 in the title if they were not going to sell them. Just seems like a waste of time to me. I knew of the ninja P18/FKS anyway and I realize that was a picture of those. Bottom line why would the change the title in the first place
