To those with questions about Coreupt....

For anyone with questions about Coreupt, what skis are what, how they preform, etc. I've dug around a bit and i'll try to answer some stuff.

- First off, it seems that they totally fucked some of the measurements on the site (i.e. they list the park skis with wider measures then the pow skis, when it should be the other way around). SO:
    - There are four models of skis:
        
-140-115-130, in a 185 these are the " Hands Up" by Richard Permin. These are equivalent  to  the Dynastar Huge Troubles, which I have no review on, sorry. But it should be easy enough to find one. These are going for $349 on Coreupt

-124-92-114, in 3 sizes, 166-176-186 these are the "pow" by Candide and the "Change" by TJ. These are equivalent to the Dynastar Big Trouble. Again, I have no review, b ut should be easy enough to find.

-112-78-102, in  155-165-175-182. These are the "yard" by Candide and the "Urban Rise" by Colby. These are equivalent to the Dynastar TROUBLE (Not the troublemaker). However, the trouble is basically the old mold for the troublemaker (not sure when they changed it). I own a 182 and 175 troublemaker with the same mold so i'll give a quick review below.

-  128-100-118, in 176-184-190   These are the XXX Ray which are equivalent to the Dynastar Legend Pro Rider. Don't have a review, but you should be able to look that up.


So for a review of the Yard/urban rise aka Dynastar Trouble aka old Troublemaker.
It's a fairly stiff ski (think between public enemy and invader), nice and poppy. Tails and nose are fairly soft but gets stiffer pretty quick as you get back by the boot. Its a fairly skinny ski and it has good pop, what a surprise, its great in the pipe! and look at that, Dynastar lists the trouble as a pipe ski. Nice and poppy off jumps too, fun to ollie around but not too hard for butters. Not a butter noodle though. However, just like the original tm im guessing the edges suck. Bottom line, theses are well worth it to add to your quiver as a pipe ski alone. also very good on jumps and good for ollieing around. not great for rail durability. I'm gonna ick up a pair for pipe/park as I have my old troublemakers for rails and my obSETHed for everything else.

Forgot to mention: as candide mentioned in his mounting tips, dont mount true center. I mounted my 182s at +3 from rec and my 175s at rec. I didn't like the feal of the 182's nearly as much. I'm not a hge fan of center skis anyway so take that with a grain of salt. but I would follow candides recommendation and mount at least -3 from true center.

huge help, +K and thanks a ton....however saying a ski flexes somewhere between an invader and PEs....thats like saying "this ski has twin tips"  i read that and say "No shit, be more specific."

but again, this is a huge help to NS, thanks a bunch +K

haha I guess so. its mid flex, put it that way. I havent ridden the chronic but I would guess a shade softer from what I've read. dunno what else to compare it to really. sorry.

I'm saying the urban rise and yard are identical! I wouldn't call dynastars heavy. Not the lightest but certainly not the heaviest. N ow the coreupt bindings are basically repackaged looks so yes they are heavy

So the skis arent heavy? And the bindings are? I messed up my old park skis right at the end of the year so i want a park ONLY ski, these are a sick deal, not very well known, and i love candide and colby so im really thinking about getting them. But, i wanna think about the bindings too. Also, I definitely want to mount true center, so whats up with these skis and that? People have said that is bad to do with these?

Yeah they don't ride well true center. mount 3cm back as per Candide's recommendation and you should be fine. The bindings are repackeged look PX so yeah, kinda heavy. But a durable binding for sure.

Hey,
um i won a pair of candides. the ones i have are 171.
I measured the sidecut  they are 108-78-112

 also won a pair of 165 colbys
sidecut on them is 108-78-108

so i guess they aren't the same ski
colbys are a little flexier. Hopefully that helps. thats all i can tell from them.
also i would say the graphic on the colbys doesnt really look like the pictures on line, because i think the skis are thinner then the version on line and they cut out some of the picture. it is a little bit of a let down.
