Rockering skis without heat

I'm planning on trying to rocker some 06/07 rossi scratch jr. skis. These skis will serve no purpose to me except form backyard jibing. Right now i have books between the tips and tails and a clamp close to the center. For now i am trying to reduce the camber, then i will try to rocker them. Is it possible to rocker them without applying any heat?

Heat makes it soo much easier. With a well built pair of skis you can keep them like that all summer and they might not have any camber but they won't stay rockered.

i was planning on moving the clamp up past the top of the binding for tip rocker and the same for the tail.
don't really have direct access to a heat gun.
any other way to get heat or do it without?

it wont work, i did that with old liberty reapers, didnt even loose any camber

is it the fact that you just dont have a heat gun or you rly dont wanna use heat?  you could maybe try an iron. it will take longer and wont work as well but better than none.  also for when the camber is gone and you move the clamps in front of the toe peice and behind the heel stuff as many mother fuckin books as you can in there.  rly rly rly stretch them and then let them sit for as long as possible.  i dont think youll get much rocker with no heat tho.

there is some good info on TGR, but I think the best way to do it is like this, but over a wooden stove, don't get it to hot, because it can mess up your base. I saw a thread on here, and he left them over the stove every night for a week, adding like an inch of thickness each night or something.

seems like it would be easier to put the clamp up in front of the toepiece and just work on the tips, and then go to the tails. rather than trying to bend the whole ski backwards.
