they always close the park in the fall....there's usually a gully that forms towards the bottom of palmers in the really early season thats usually super fun. just chill out

If there is no park, there is nothing to hike to. This is brutal news. So the only skiing until winter will be lapping the Palmer.

well when you know you can ski it just feels normal so no park now means no park in winter. At least it feels that way. Plus it might not be worth the drive a hour and half everyweekend

It looks like the weather is going to be good this Saturday and there is still plenty of snow.
NS'ers + shovels + salt = booter session
How does that sound?

Take it for granite? What are you from New Hampshire? You did make a good point though and I should keep things in perspective. We will have to just settle for a booter session. *whine*

Yup it's true, sorry about that kiddos, you'll just have to wait for the snow to fly. We needed to get our rails off the hill to re-paint and spruce up before winter, you'll be stoked on the new colors. Also the weather was puting a big damper on the park scene and business is business, it' shard to operate a park when there is almost no one riding it.
The good news is we will have all the rails ready to go for winter and if the weather clears for an extended period we may consider taking some stuff back up the hill. In the mean time just relax and enjoy the fall colors, maybe go for a bike ride or watch a football game (or better yet the Blazers, went to the game last night soooo rad) or maybe just write a letter to your favorite aunt, it's totally up to you.
We will be doing our Pre Season Pleasin Rail Jam in november as soon as the snow starts to fly so stay tuned for that, and of course lifts will continue to run fri-sun weather permitting, just no parky-park for you Marky Marks. Word to your mother.

Barney rails!
I still had a great time skiing today, better than sitting on the couch watching football. Theres plenty of little things to jib up there and stay entertained

i got up there on saturday, got in about four runs before the wind shut the place down. super fun time, hadnt been skiing since april so i was itching for snow under my feet. lots of fun little natural wallride type thingys and stalls as well as little icey snow chunks to jib and of course the dope rollers after the actual snow "field"
All times are Eastern (-5)
