I need to know about these two bindings

I want to mount either Jesters or STH 16s on my bents. I would like to know which binding is closer to the ski. So in other words, when I clip in, the sole of my boot is as close the the top sheet as possible. I am also open to other binding suggestions.
karma will be given.

not sure about how close they are to the ski but i know that the jester is a lot cheaper so it depends on how much you wanna spend

I'm not sure about that because on the marker site the 09 jesters are priced at 395$ and that's more than the STHs

wierd i thought i saw the jesters for like 150 but that might be the old ones, so far iv found the jesters for 320, and iv found the salomons for like 300, either one would be sick

my sth 16's are super close to the ski, the highest lifter point is probably under a half inch whereas i think the jesters are a little higher up

sth 16 have a lower profile then jester and have a stronger toe box and spring. they will last longer as well and are cheaper. but they do weigh more

Actually the i think the jester has a way stronger toe peice then the sth plus it is lowprofile and won't be getting in the way. Plus the jesters heal peice is way better than SLAM-ONS heel peice. Come on which one looks better/steezier?

I have Jesters on my Bacons and I love them, great bindings. I don't have the skis here now and I've never used STH-16, but Jesters are a little cheaper for me I think and I'm putting them on my Donner Party's rather than STH-16's because I've already used and loved them.

sth sits lower to the ski, but a few important points...
1) more elastic travel from the jesters. will feel more secure in the binding, much more solid contact
2) wider footprint. having the wider mounting point will help control a fatter ski, more power to ur edges and much less likely to pull out of the topsheet.
3) shorter footprint. should be increased snow feel (which is guessing is part of the reason you wanted the lower lifter)
4) equal height heel and toe peices. puts ur boot in a level position for skiing forward or switch.
