i posted this is another place as well, don't remember where exactly but....

over rotating front flips is probably one of the worst crashes there is. going to far on a backflip sucks too but landing on your back is much more tolerable than chest first i think. high siding an edge is bad, urban stairs don't feel good, but over rotating has got to be the worst. i did a front flip on the set up jump at mammoth and over shot the piss out of it. landed in the transition literally goggles first. knocked out for like 15 minutes, and shouldn't have skied for like 3-4 weeks. i ended up taking it easy for 2 and then started skiing, but thats besides the point. the set up jump is pretty tiny, and i can not imagine what it would be like to anything similar to what i had done on a jump like the one in the picture.

I could not agree more.  I wish I could remember everyone who helped me out on the mountain.  I know that Mike Hornbeck and Andy Parry helped out along with the Mountain Patrol.  If any one else who helped out reads this thread.  Thank you so much for taking care of my dumb ass.

One of my friends was there and saw the whole thing.  Everyone thought you died.   He said that after you got your wind back you tried to keep skiing and the patrol had to force you to lay down.  Damn.

The speed was the same going into it and it felt right.  The problem was that the take off was iced over so I increased a ton the last 20 feet and I did not have time to react.  I was just bad conditions for jumping and a bad judgment call on my part.  At least I lived to ride another day.
