Sorry, but veteran benefits still stems from the act of engaging in warfare. Without the wars you would have had these people earning their living doing something more beneficial to the human race than killing other people, and you'd have alot less disabled people to take care of. You also completely ignored the interest on past debts we're still paying due to war.

The FCNL numbers are solid, they just include all the hidden and indirect costs of war. Only a biased moron who doesn't know wtf he's talking about would even argue otherwise. I didn't expect anymore from you though.

BTW, you seem to be having an arguement that defense contractors have to rip off the government to pay for expensive combat equipment....Well if they didn't do that then maybe the military could afford descent bodyarmour for their own goddamn troops.

Fair enough.  I won't argue with you there.  I don't necessarily agree with some of the decisions that have been made by the people that run our country. 

But on the other hand, we have also used our power to do some really positive things as well.  Unfortunately, these aren't always in the limelight like our failures.

I believe in it enough to be able to see that our government is modeled in such a way as to allow our country to establish itself as the most powerful nation on this damn planet.  A country powerful enough to influence every other country with the decisions we make.

I never said it was perfect, but we really don't have it that bad.

I spend my free time talking to my friends WHO ARE IN THE MILITARY, reading books on both sides, and watching the news. And if you knew anything about what youre talking about, you'd know i would never use CNN's hyped bullshit to make arguments. CNN is a rather left wing agendist media outlet.

You realize that the budget is available to everyone. The part that is secret is within certain areas of a budget. You point out that the CIA has a secret budget, well im not going to lie, this is true. However, that budget is still limited in the defense budget you dumb fuck. You think there is extra money just magically waiting to happen?! The Federal Reserve, and Treasury, as well as the Budgetary Committee have to release all actions to the public. I mean they can hide certain aspects but the total amount of money being spent still must remain constant. I mean the amount that is collected in taxes is recorded by the IRS and the amount the US borrows every year is recorded as well. Each part takes two sides anyway so the amount the US spends every year would be one hell of a secret to hide. That would be synonymous to trying to keep, say the state of florida a secret.

Also, radical left wing sites such as the FCNL get their "40%" defense budget number by factoring in the cost of Veterans Affairs and social security paid out to veterans. That is a very shady practice and if anyone tried to pull that in a business, theyd get investigated by the SEC. So FCNL you guys can go stick your Oats up your Quaker asses.

In my opinion, the smaller a politician is, the more honorable their intentions.

I believe in small, lower level politics, because they can actually have a positive impact on their local communities.

I know that the American education system is corrupt, and the subject matter being taught is contaminated. Not for the most part, but for some important parts.

Canadian schools are liberal, and progressive when it comes to current world issues.

Im not condemming either, but its a question of numbers. Population plays a big role in the educational system, and when you have 10 times the number of people in your country, you have to convince that many more of everything.

The FCNL numbers are misleading and they, nor can anyone, say whats what when regarding national debt. In any case, we still spend way too much on social security and welfare to begin to complain about defense spending.

And if you read my argument on defense contractors "ripping off the government" you'd know a thing or two. We dont live in communist russia. if youd prefer a communist nation, you can go to china or cuba, we dont care. But while we live in the good ol' usa, companies have to be rewarded for the product they produce. Why else would they be able to produce said product? They provide a service or donation or finance and in turn, they get paid extra for product. Thats better than just straight getting paid back.

And you don't know the first thing about body armor you dumb fuck. The military has the best body armor out of anyone in the world, whatever you hear is cases of misfortune. I mean for god sakes, what we are talking about here is a flexible, thin piece of material that's designed to stop a 7.62x39mm bullet or in some cases a .50 cal bullet traveling at a muzzle velocity of 800-1600 feet per second. Its a wonder that it can do it all. And don't kid yourself no other military widely has the same body armor as we do. Let me break it down for you:

All special operations (Army SFG, Army SFOD-D, Army CAG, Army 75th Ranger Regiment, Navy SEALs, Navy VBSS, Navy DEVGRU, Navy EOD, Air Force TACP, Air Force Pararescue Jumpers, Marine Force Recon, Marine Expeditionary Unit) receive a package called the MLCS.

In the MLCS they get a choice of three different 2nd line vests: CIRAS, MBSS (or equivalent), or Eagle PC with cumberbund. All of them hold ceramic STRIKE plates that can stop high velocity heavy projectiles. Underneath, they all wear a PACA which stops .45 cal and below projectiles, but also greatly reduces trauma from impact on the STRIKE plates. This is the current best body armor system known to man.

All regular Army forces receive a RAV, or equivalent MOLLE vest capable of carrying STRIKE plates. Integrated along is Kevlar padding which can stop a 7.62mm and reduces trauma on STRIKE plates.

All regular Marines receive the IBA or possible a personally purchased MOLLE vest, again with integrated Kevlar. The only issue is the IBA which is outdated.

No other country produces body armor on the level that the United States does, in fact EVERY special operations unit in NATO purchases its armor from the US.

The idea, and model of the US government is tight, and its good. The thing is, it is now an illusion with no real decision making power.

The Federal reserve is privatized, which means the Government is in Debt to the FEd. SO the Gov't is ruled by the Banking Elite.

Congresspersons, and senators are being bought out by big business like it's going out of style. I'd be surprised to see One Congressperson who Isn't on the take.

The Gov't Sold out, and The people have no power.
This is the state of the American Government.

It is sad, wrong, and makes me, a Canadian, furious that the citizens put up with it.

Not that theres a whole lot they can do... It's out of their league.

UNLESS

The American Public reaches what the greedy puppetmasters are afraid of..

Critical Mass.


CM is an important idea.

Seeing as how there have been 8 fucking federal Budgets since the time you have started caring and all of them are on public records, and no extreme left wing "documenter" has pointed out any illegal actions then it seems you are the fool.

And how can you say at America's top universities, American policy is corrupted? How about the University of Chicago (9th best university) with William Ayres as one of its professors?! William Ayres is a convicted terrorist who has done hard time, claims responsibility for the Pentagon attacks, and is an avid anti-american. The liberal chic University of Chicago employs him as a professor!

Most universities in the us are far and above heavily liberal. Thats a known fact. Congrats you are too! Join the other giant massive population of youth liberals. It is those who are able to see through all the bullshit and propaganda that are the true intelligent ones. You can't just print more money any time you want.  If you've taken economics, you should certainly know that. 

The budget is available to everyone, as are financial statements.

They are accountable (to a certain extent), but are by no means transparent.  This is where your "magic money" comes from...hammers don't cost $70.

Basic rules of accounting don't allow you to assign future inflation adjusted values to current year's financial statements so I'm not really sure where you are going with that...

The reason that goods purchased by the US government are "overvalued" is for the sole purpose of funding programs such as the CIA, NSA, etc.  This isn't a big secret.

I was referring to inflation.

Inflation is caused by an increase in the money supply.

Since the money supply (M3 stock) is always increasing

So is inflation.

Thats why things steadily go up in price.


Thats why they are getting rid of the penny, because it's no longer worth anything.
