What trampoline should I get?

for <$500 all you are going to get is a 14 foot black poly bed trampoline.  which is fine for the price range.  I recommend going on craigslist and buying one second hand.  people are literally trying to give them away and you are likely to pick one up in good condition for under $200.  try to get mats too for that price.  for $100 or so, you can pick up just the frame, bed, and springs.  people generally get tired of their trampolines after a few years and want to get rid of them and you can barter then down real good.  get one with nice looking springs with no rust and a bed with no tears, look at the springs hooks to see what quality they are in, tearing or not, string fraying etc.

if you are serious about trampolining and want the option to upgrade in the future, consider investing a bit more money so that you can buy a rectangular trampoline frame that hosts a 7x14 or 6x12 bed.  even if you start with a shitty black or web bed, the frame is the important part.  later on when you have more money, you can upgrade to better quality springs and a better quality bed.  i highly recommend getting a 7x14, it'll run you ~1100 for a poly bed, but its worth it.  you can get a decent goodwin bed for ~800 but i would recommend the aussie bed for 1100 as they are better for outdoor use.  the pimp ass ross beds run for 2000.

visit springboardsandmore.com for more info, they have the best selection on trampolines and fairly reasonable pricing.  these are more middle end trampolines and you will be spending more then $500, but you will get a much higher quality product.  i don't use with black bed tramps really (hell, if you live near vancouver,  i'll trade you a 14 foot black bed for w.h.y, i don't use it and have other tramps) and don't know where to research those really.  this website offers some.

if you want the real pimp shit, go to reboundproducts.com for the best trampolines in the world, but you will spend $5-8000 for a full set up, but it will be mega sweet.

i actually know quite alot about trampolines so if you have more questions, just message me.  i highly highly recommend spending about 1200~1400 as you could potentially get a 7x14 non folding frame with a goodwin bed and frame pads.  which would be good enough for most gyms and would be awesoe for your backyard

i have a 5x10 with nissen web bed from pool entry (i am thinking about upgrading that bed to a 5x10 goodwin) and a 7x14 ross bed with nissen frame.  i also have some 9 foot tall scaffoling i use to play around with and i actually have enough scaffolding to make a 5m tower if i want (say to jump into my pool?  next summer).  and there are more toys under wraps....
