i wanna try rodeo's this season, i got them like perfect on a tramp, i can land it every time, but for trying it for my first time on skis would it be smart to try it on a park jump? like mabye a 35-40 ft jump my first time then go bigger? or should i try and learn it in to powder first if i can? anyone got any tips?Â
if you are just trying inverts i'd be hittin up a tramp and getting the rotation down and try it into pow (or at least a softer landing than hard packed park landings)
ok so i found wit rodeos on snow that you want a jump with a little bigger lip with a little more pop so you can set it easier. Also dont try it on the biggest jump you can find. I landed my first on a 25-30 footer. IMO 5's are easier thn 7's becuase they arent as blind and you can spot easier. Thats just my 2 cents
Good advice on the jump. You don't want to go huge, and you don't need to. If you have it dialed on the tramp, you'll have plenty of time to get it around on a poppy 25 footer. 5's are the easier one for sure. The main thing is to find a jump you feel comfy with so you can concentrate on doing the exact same thing you were doing on the tramp. Good luck and let me know if you need any tips and I'll help if I can...
