to everyone who has an opinion about the Pats, let it be heard here. If you wanna complain, do it, but be prepared to piss a few people off. The patriots are having an amazing season and its credit to their coach, who is a genius tactician when it comes to football, and their players, each of whom plays a large role in the success of this organization.
this cheating business is bullshit, they didnt use the tapes, and they were heavily fined for it.LET IT GO...move on with your lives, the patriots beat you because you couldn't compete with them
this business on running up the score is bullshit. Its not the offenses job to give up before the game is over. Tom Brady doesnt have to stop playing and owning you because there is no rule against it. You play the game for 60 minutes. If you dont like the patriots running the score up, shut up. If these teams hate it so much, then why dont they get their act together and actually play some defense. After all, it is the defense's job to prevent such blowouts from happening. stop bitching, football is football and the patriots could very well be the best team in nfl history, depending on how the rest of the season goes.

Yeah, the jets were gonna get pwned anyway. To be quite honest with you, all other teams do this kind of shit in the NFL as well. The "innocent" colts got caught playing recordings of crowd noise after the pats v. colts game as well, so don't think that other teams don't do this shit either.
On a lighter note, Moss+Brady+Welker+Maroney=______________(name of team) getting pwned by the Patriots.

thank you for saving me some typing. i'm sick of being bitched at every time someone finds out i'm a pats fan. i've lived in new england all my life and therefore i have been a pats fan all my life, don't give me shit for it. i was there when they sucked ass and i'm here when they're kicking your ass, get over it. we cheated, and i'm pissed that bill did it again even after he was told to stop, but we didn't gain anything from it but a fine and lost draft picks, so it was just pure stupid so don't give us crap for it, we aren't the only ones who have done it either. really the only reason people hate us is because we're better than them. it sounds cocky, but so far it has been true. but don't get all pissy because we stop your offense and stomp your defense, just yell at your own team for letting that happen. that's what i used to do when we would blow it. i remember screaming at bledsoe for being a lame ass, but i wouldn't hate the opposing team that owned us. so really, stop giving pats fans shit. it's true that there are obnoxious pats fans, but there are annoying fans everywhere following every team. so don't generalize and assume that just because someone's a pats fan they're an asshole, quit bitching.

I hate the patriots and i always have, but i will admit that they are a very good team.
As far as spygate, i don't think that they were justly punished. If it was any other coach more drastic measures would have been taken. 250 grand?.. nothin to bellicheck. And the first round draft pick draft pick doesnt set them too far back. Bellicheck should have been suspended end of story. How many NFL players have been suspened for doing pot, a drug that only harms the player using it? This is a much smaller offense than cheating and using information in your benifit to alter the game.
I know they would have beaten the jets anyways but if you think that that was there first attempt to steal signals, you are mistaken. He is far too smart to get caught on his first time. I believe that this taints there previous seasons under billichek more than the current one.
And no the Bills cant stop them simply because they do not have the
talent on their roster or the capital to get better players. Racking up points to set records is what Billicheck wants and is what hes going to get. He cares more about stats and records than the well being of his own players. Going for it on 4th down, up 30 some points doesn't
embarrass the opposition as much as it embarrasses Billicheck and the
Patriots organization

A first round pick doesn't set a team back? Are you fucking joking me? Think of all the teams that have screwed up their first round pick and been negatively affected for years. Think the Chargers with Ryan Leaf, think Akili Smith and the Bengals, etc. The patriots were smart and set themselves up to have 2 first round picks this year, so it essence it doesn't look as bad with one taken away. It will be so great if the 49ers continue to suck and the pats get a top 5 pick. Please think this through before jumping on the "patriots didin't get punished enough because bellichick is tight with commissioner" bandwagon

Yes, not picking in the first round or making a bad pick does tremendously hurt a struggling team.(2002, Buffalo's Mike Williams..ouch) But realistically the patriots first rounder will be 29th pick or above. Not being able to add another potential quality player will not hurt "the best team ever." At least not for a few years. Plus as you said they will have a top 8 pick at the worst.
And this punishes the patriots organization not Bellicheck..

Woah, Bellicheck after records? Bullshit. That guy is probably the hardest working coach in the NFL, and has consistently been up there since he started with the pats. He has 3 superbowls to show for it, and pretty much an outstanding year every year he has been with the patriots. Behind him, the patriots have formed into the closest thing to a dynasty. This team has dominated the league for years and now, all of their hard work could pay off with an undefeated season. And all of this "tarnished record" bullshit is just that....bullshit. Every team in the league has done it. Jimmy Johnson stood up for Bellicheck by telling the country on sports center that he was told to film the exact same shit the pats did when he was an assistant coach. Most of the people out there whine about the patriots because their team probably got steamrolled the week before. just shut up and deal with it. Tom Brady is an amazing quarterback, he could quite possible be the best of all time after this season, which a lot of sports experts agree on. Even after Peyton Manning received a lot more hype than Brady in his career, he is still the guy with 3 superbowl rings, 2 of which came back to back in 2003 and 2004. I mean come on, #199 in the draft, coming in for an injured starting quarter back and leading the team in your first ever season starting to the superbowl. Amazing. On top of that, he is set to shatter Peyton Manning's TD record and in every start this year he has had a near perfect pass percentage. The patriots are just too well rounded and too disciplined. No one can contend with them.

well considering the patriots have been picking from the later rounds the last 6 years or so and have built their team around those late 1st round picks, then it is a big deal. I.E. Vince Wilfork, Ty Warren, Ben Watson, Logan Mankins, Laurence Maroney, all of which are now starters and play crucial roles on the team. Choosing correctly in the 1st round is a major reason why this team is successful and has continued success. This is a big hit, as they will need to upgrade at corner if Samuel leaves for $$, they will need to get younger at LB, there will be needs at draft time, no matter how great they are.

they played conservative offense last year against the colts in the playoffs and paid for it.
not to mention this whole year has been a big fuck you to all their critics,
the patriots are the best mental and most well prepared football team i have ever watched,
they are not only good because of players like brady(who is playing better than anyone right now) moss, welker ect, but because of how well they play as a team.
they execute so many different plays so well
its almost impossible to call defenses against them.
i am no patriots fan, but i do enjoy watching football being played the way it should be.
on another note, the celtics are sick, some of the best team b ball i have seen in a long time.

ill admit that i thought moss was gonna be trouble from the start, what with his whole attitude and rep around the league, but bellicheck is a genius with this stuff. he seems to have given moss a perfect winning environment to be happy in and it has been worth it, the guy is a team player now.

i dont like them..thats the point of salery caps in football so one team dosnt diminate (like the yankees...im a yankees fan but still they are always a good team ...well usally...because baseball has no sallery caps and they just bank money and can afford all the superstars)...now yes tom brady is a good qb but the beauty of football is that it is usally a even playing field and watching the pats is just plain frusterating ...from a giants fan standpoint atleast

I know draft picks are important. All im saying is it won't hurt the pats that much. Not as much as a suspension for Belichick.
And yes i know a lot of other teams have done it but the difference is, they did not get caught. When you get caught cheating you need to man up and take the consequences.

first of all, a suspension for bellichick wouldnt do anythin. they still have all the other coaches that are just as important. a draft pick is waaaay more important for tha reasons previously stated.
and, how did they not man up and take the consequences. all fines were paid very quickly and they moved on and avoided making a big deal out of somthin that wasnt even that big of a deal. all teams use cameras in ways they aren't supposed to and other things too. if u've ever seen the video that gets recorded of opposing coaches and the pictures taken each play of the other teams plays its redic. wat the pats did really wasnt a big deal

As for suspending Belichick, your looking at it the wrong way. Because he was the one that messed up he should take the punishment, not the team. Suspending him would teach him a lesson more than making him fork over some cash. Whether or not the team suffers is irrelevant.
How can you say its not that big of a deal when countless players have been suspended for much much less? i.e. Ricky Williams

hardly any pat fans whine about it, atleast any fans that are actually fans of them. yeah they got caught, they paid the fines, and its done besides the draft pick.
im not lookin at suspending bellichick the wrong way. its a much harder hit to him to take away a huge chunk of his salary than to suspend him. ok, so hes gone for 2 games, that doesnt mean he cant talk to his team. he clearly knows the game inside and out, as well as some other dimension unknown to man since his team is absolutely dominating. suspension wouldnt do anythin, he would just carry on with the season after, which is what he did with the money too. losing money for him is a much bigger hit considering what he does with his money.
and i dont understand how you can say this incident is much worse. yeah, i smoke pot, so do many other people, but using video camera's isnt against the law. breaking the law is much more serious than breaking any rule thats exclusive to the nfl and thats why the punishment was dealt that way. ricky williams got caught 6 times for weed dude. its not like he just did it once. ok, i understand if bill bellichick used cameras once, then got caught again, then again, again, and again. yeah he should get a huuuuuge fine for that and possibly thrown out of the nfl. but breaking the law atleast 6 times is sooooooo much worse than just breaking some rule for a sport that isnt that big of a deal.
i dont get why people are still fighting over this saying its a huge deal and somthin diff shoulda happened. your not the nfl commissionor for that reason, roger goodell is and he makes very just decisions. if any1 that was actually involved in the game thought his punishments were too harsh or not enough then people woulda spoken about it, but no1 said anything. of coarse the jets coach was upset, and they had a few extra precautions the next game, but by 2 weeks later no1 even mentioned it anymore.

And why does bellichek go for it on 4th and goal? He doesn't like field goals, as he stated and wants to give the opposition to stop them, fine, end of discussion, this isn't high school these players get paid millions of dollars to play football, it's the job of the defense to stop the patriot's offense, it isn't the patriots job to dumb down their offense so that the other team doesn't get blown out. They're going after RECORDS this year, not just wins but RECORDS and if they can do it, then who are you to say they shouldn't?
