big let down, worst poor boyz movie i have ever seen, to many quick cuts with the beats, way to long, lame jokes, just a let down i was hoping for another happy dayz or better
it was a fine progressive movie like all ski movies. Also if you knew a little something about editing you would know thy probably spent weeks working out each persons clip in that movie. Its got great rhythm and needs to be respected like all other movies!!
i love 5 cuts in the middle of a trick! progressive editing!
hah...not to mention all the bonus footage worthy shots and all the missed grabs. and Walker outshining everyone (except Hatveit), with only a few shots! and thanks for ruining the Second Coming for me PBP..
I liked Anthony B's tricks on the step over. Also Andreas killed it allong with walker. Oh, and Chris B's part was really good. However... except for that... I didn't like it.
i thought it was a sick movie, but then again i like pretty much any ski movie. its all skiing i dont see a reason that everyone has to trash everything.
I'm not one to hate, but i really didnt like that movie. So many missed grabs and bad shots. However, Walker slayed SO hard, im kinda pissed he didnt have more shots
whatever be as picky as you want, I watched it and enjoyed myself while doing so... so in my book thats a good movie. it's not all stuff I'd want to watch over again, but segments like sammy and andreas I definitely would watch over and over again.
it really disappoints me that PBP movies arent nearly as good as they used to be, and for everyone who is mad at people for hating on PBP, im now offically hating on you, cuz if there is one company that we should hate on its them, 1242 was the most amazing movie ever and to this day i would rather watch that than any new movie, and i feel there is always room for improvement, so the fact their movie are now clearly way worse, its super disappointing, especially with that ballin fuckin budget those bastards have
Yeah a bit pissed me off, but I thought it was pretty sick at the same time. I really liked Hatveits segment. His rails and jumps are strait thug shit. alot of the urban didn't impress me at all, stuff that I think I (claim) could do for sure. Buuut I actually liked the AK segment and alot of it was pretty sick, so Im fine with it.
I have no idea how you could hate on this movie. The whole time I either had a giant grin on my face or a look of "oh shit, did that really just happen?" Andreas' segment was bar none, the craziest fucking thing I've ever seen because of the pace, tricks and music all lined up perfect. I didn't notice the movie was so long because the skiing was so fucking intense, fun and overall got me pumped.
How the fuck can you hate on a ski movie that's an hour long!? I never get tired of watching skiing especially when it's this fucking good.
The editing and feel of this film was outrageous and I cannot wait to see all the other movies this year.
where to start on this...
it's not so much the skiing that's terrible in this movie (how can it be terrible with such a gigantic list of skiers), it's pretty much the way it's put together. i feel as though PBP tried waaaay to fuckin hard to make one of these hip "feel good, have fun" movies, and it showed with all the stupid ass commentary. i really can't remember specifics mostly due to the fact that i could not keep my mind in the movie for longer than 2-3 minutes. another thing that was do annoying about this video is that it was repetitive as FUCK...namely Peter Olenick's segment. i swear there was like 15 7 tail grabs in there. now the editing was the thing that pissed me off the most, i know cuts to the beats of the music is the cool thing to do, but WHY IN THE HELL would you do it during a trick, and not just once but at least 3 times. i can't remember who it was, but they had a session on some up rail or something with 3 shots, i think, and i could never even tell what tricks they were doing cause they made so many cuts during the trick. and this went on for the whole movie. and in addition to PBP trying too hard with the feel of the movie, i feel like they just got lazy, i saw so many shots that i'd expect to be in a b footage bonus feature due to missed grabs, mad flails, and sketchy landings. and last of all...the music. i don't really have much else to say besides it's the most bland, boring, and shitty mix of music i've ever heard in a ski movie. maybe that's why i couldn't pay attention to the movie for that long.
and you can disagree with me, i don't give a shit...just continue to rot your minds with this crap. and have fun paying 40 dollars for a copy, i'll stick with Idea and Realtime that are actually worth the money. PEACE.
There was great skiing, no offense to the skiers but i would have been much more stoked to see a higher level of progression and a better soundtrack. i mean wtf. mickey avalon?
