Personally I think it's good that people discuss it but I sometimes find that the amount of talk that goes on get's kind of ridiculous

do you mean "no poles" threads referring to skiing without poles, or not allowing threads about poles in general on NS? And is "no no poles" meaning no threads about no poles or yes we should have threads about poles? All the double negatives are really confusing me.

People need to quit making them and just accept that some people will ski with poles and others choose not to. I personally use mine about 80% of the time and would prefer using them in most conditions but other people dont like them so why should I care.

Idea almost inspired me to go no poles. Unfortunatly my steez is no where near theirs. which would just look sloppy. I'm all for no poles though!

I strongly believe that no poles is a fad and i was very disappointed to see a lack of poles in idea. there are only a few situations in which poles are unnecessary. plus, everyone knows that a large part of skiing is style and having no poles looks doofy as fuck.
