i heard uvm was mad expensive, idk about any out west.
how much are you paying for a college in like utah, vermont, colorado, montana, or nevada without scholarships.

UU is mad cheap for out of state. Dont know exactly cuz with the program i'm here on I pay instate, but my friend is payin out of state and says its really cheap.

yea that is for out of state, i'm at plymouth state university and its gotta be like 23k a year for me cause i'm from mass, schools like unh are over 30 for outa state

fort lewis college is way cheap and the skiing is decent and all the good resorts are like 3 or 4 hours away and theres mad parties.

First off, if you're going to college it shouldn't be for skiing.
Now that that's out of the way, here's a better way to save money: Move to the state where you're planning on going to school a year (or whatever length of time is required) before you start to gain residency. Now that you get in-state tuition, it becomes much more affordable.

not really that simple. My sister has lived in colorado for 4 years now and still can't get in state tuition because of some tax thing involving her being claimed as a dependent of our parents still. And if you are like 18 years old your parents are probably still gonna be claiming you as a dependent.
and you should by all means take skiing into consideration for schools. it's not like there's ONE school that is right for you, there's tons. Might as well pick one thats 30 minutes from skiing. I guess there's probably some programs that you cant really find very close to skiing... but not many.

No not neccesarily. since colorado ski season started around oct. 12th she could have gotten that done by the end of may. mind you she would have skied every day from october 12th through may 31st except for 2 days.

I skied a lot outside of november and june, i got about 80 days alone in pre and post season, mostly preseason though.i skied about 150 during the actual season.

cmc is about 12-13, w/ room and board, food, books etc. But they rob the shit outta you on room and board. Living off campus would prob be close to 2k cheaper. and the classes are tight and easy.

So many flaws in that... If you are on your parents health insurance and like being able to go to the hospital when you get hurt then this is not a good idea. You get booted off almost every medical plan once you move out of your house unless you are in school. You live in NY. I feel for you i got into U of U school of mines and montana all with a decent amount of scholarships. I just didnt really like the thought of getting out of college with almost 100,000 in debt before i even had a job. I ended up going to plattsbugh because it was cheap and close to some good mountians. Whiteface is half an hour away and some vt mtns are under 2 hours on a good day. Basically what i figure is that i can get 4 years done here move out to a state i want to be in get a decent job then start on my masters. Seemed like the best choice for me because my family didnt have crazy amounts of money to throw around
