does anyone have a pair of NAS? could they take a picture of them, the magnetraction seems so exaggerated in the computer images i really wanna see how much the "bumps" come out
someone else brought up an interesting point that lib tech is just making money off of skiers
snowboard brands give skiers shit, then make skis when it seems profitable
plus the edges are a bitch to sharpen
go for armada, moment, line, a ski brand
Those look sooo sick but i hate the whole idea of libtech making skis and calling them small ass snowboards...its kinda like burton making a snowblader only line and calling it gay ass snowboards.
My buddie has a lib tech board with the ripple edge things and they are noticeable. Apparently they handle ice like no other but I'll stick with my ARVs and Lizzie's.
^ yea, they look like they can take ice real well...
but the fact that its a f***ing snowboard company really turns me away. if this was done by any other company (armada, line, moment, 4frnt, ninthward, surface) I would have a look
Despite their roots, I've heard amazing things about the NAS. I'm def interested in getting a pair for my next park ski. Interesting that they came out with a pow ski this year, I wonder how the wavy edge effects maneuverability of a wider ski in pow and on ice...
Wait, I just rethought that... the rocker would probably defeat the purpose of the wavy edge... maybe not entirely but probably enough to make it not-worth-the-extra-effort-to-put-in.
^ yeah, thats wat I was thinking the rocker then defeats the object of the cutting edge lol.
why sell them in singles... obviously snowboarders don't understand you buy skis in pairs.
And I'd like to try some out, but I've allocated most of my funds towards a Moment Ski... I may have to reconsider what my next ski will be, and the NAS will be included in there...
have you ever ridden any libtech snowboards? they are the best snowboards i have ever ridden..who cares if it seems profitable..as long as they create a good ski..im going to jump on the train for libtech and support them
They are a bit exagerated on the computer, but the shot in the catalog of the base is what it looks like. From an angle they look really big, but, from a top view, hardly noticable
As for the whole rockered idea, I think the whole wavy edge deal would be great for a rockered ski. The main issue with rocker from what I've been told is that the surface area underfoot when you turn makes it a bitch on hardpack. Wavy edge = more grip, so maybe a good way to counteract the rocker?
