Ok, I saw a shot or two and a short vid awhile back with Plake showing these things...so what's the deal? Are they the same last as the rest of the Krypton line (cause I thought I heard that the pro was a lower volume fit than the rampage)? What's with the rachet setup? They appear to have an Intuition liner, maybe? Basically tell me anything and everything you know about this boot, anyone have them or ride them yet?
That is a nice pic, thanks. Anyone know what the flex is like though? I'm assuming that the top closure is for more surface area, and less shinbang? I dunno though, what are they saying is the reason fot the rachet strap and top duff thing?
it's to get a more secure closure. much more secure than a velcro scrap. they're sick, we have a pair in my shop and one of the kids has been riding them. he says they're the shit. they're only 26.5s so can't tell you how they fit/ride myself.
Has anyone seen pictures of any of the other Krypton models for next year? My local shop said that Dalbello sold out of the Kryptons for this year and they only have a few pairs left, unfortunately not in my size. $375 for the ID liners and $350 for the standard liner. Not bad for sick boots.
that cuff is set up to reduce friction when flexing the boot. I tried was flexing it in and it really evens the pressure out over your shin over the rampage. Anyway i think it will be an awesome boot for anyone interested.
How do they ride? I had the Rampage, how do they compare fit and flex wise to that boot? ID liners worth it? Cause I remember the toe was super cold on the Rampages...do the ID liners help get rid of that problem?
sorry miscommunication. i don't have the il moro yet. i was talking about my rampages. but yeah my toesies got cold alot too. i think its just because i went real small on them. but i do know the basic specs from the booklet. the fit should be the exact same as the rampage. both with the same size lasts and all that jazz. i can't really remember flex but i'm almost positive that if it is more its only like 5 more flex. but i'm pretty sure its the normal 80
I have the ID liners in my rampages and I think it is a lot easier on the toes... Though I had to do a small strech across the toe box initially because i down sized 2 sizes from my street shoe.
I actually rode half the season with the rampage liner then got the ID... so i can tell you it is a lot nicer. I also run a ALINE foot bed underneath the ID liner instead of using the stock foot bed and works out well.
so are they going to be $375 like that one guy said? ill buy them if they are. i tried on the cross and it fit perfect. it felt reaqlly heavy though. are these going to be lighter?
Are the molded/heat fit or whatever. The style of liner there, where it overlaps in the front, how do you know if it's going to fit you well?
I tried on a pair at the shop when I was getting fitted, (lange I think?), and it was just a complete pain I hated it. The fitter told me it's a hit or miss, some people like and it'll fit better when you actually get it molded, others it just doesn't work. Is this true or is it pretty much perfect for anyone once molded? (assuming the actual shape of the liner/shell fits well for your foot)
