I was going to write some long thing up....but arguing about the
difference between rockers and reverse camber is just nitpicking.
generally, rocker is just at the tips, reverse camber consists of rocker in both the tip and tail. In my mind, the ARG, Pontoon, Lotus 138, G-funkensein, praxis, spats are all reverse camber. All have no camber underfoot. Some of them have flat camber for longer lengths before the rockers begin, but all of them have larger rockers in both the tips and tails. No normal camber anywhere.
Rockers skis to me are the EPH, hellbent, lotus 120, new sally ski (cant remember the name), and a few others. They have flat camber from the tail all the way up until where the rocker begins.
Conceptually....they
are essentially the same thing. both serve the same function using the
same construction, only in one case it is applied throughout the entire
ski, while other times it is applied to only one part of the ski.
And saying that spats are pointless in less that a foot of snow also makes it obvious that you have never used them.
They
are some of the best tree, crud, and corn skis that you can buy, even
with all of the newer models coming out. I actually didn't like them
too much in deep pow (much prefer my FFFs). But in choppy snow, trees,
or corn, they are fucking amazing.
