IF YOU CANT HIT THE FUCKING FEATURES STAY OUT OF THE FUCKING PARK! go learn in the kiddy park then move up, but dont just cruise through the park and jup off the side of rail takeoffs just so you can tell your friends you rode the park. (i am sure that i never did this and when i went in the "big" park that i could hit at least three of the features)
atleats u dont have 923864902836 6 year old racers with their race COACH go through the park, go half way up the lip, and climb up and then stand there..i mean WHAT THE FUCK. STAY THE FUCK OUT COME ON NOW..i actually hate all little kids on the mountain
i think its fine as long as they dont cut me off, get in my way, or completly ruin the jump. going off the side of the jump doesnt ruin it, rolling over the top does.
lol, funny story about rolling over lips: I was in the park when this dude cut me off going waaaayyyy to slow to hit our "big" booter. He didn't know it was a booter obviously. He rolled over the top and feel 10 feet to the ground, breaking his arm. Happy times.
yea i hate when little kids go of the side of teh jumps but like my dad some times comes into the park to watch me but he doesent do anything so as long as people stay of the features and out of everyones way i think its fine with people in the park.
on my mountain its always like five little girls who ride up the table and take up the entire landing then fall on their way down the landing and they're so small you can never see them and never know when its safe to hit the jump or if you'll stomp on some six year old girl, it really annoying
i agree but the only question is, is that if they are going off the side wont that have no affect to the center of the take off where you will be going off but yeah the little kids build jumps on the bunny hill so the park is alrght at our hill
there is only one thing i ahet it is when kids on snowblades who have never skied before and they hit the jump then dont make it and totally crash then thake about 20mins to get up well there little friends all sit there and are like are you all right oh that pisses me off
but its funny though cause when u jus do a simple 3 they trip out like they go crazy they think its the hardest trick ever and u jus sit there and laugh
i was stepping into my skis on friday after hiking a rail and all of the sudden i heard i guy behind me say, "ok guys, do you want to go the the park." I was like what the fuck. Can't someone just make a sign that says parkthat doesn't have anything in it and those ski school kids will be happy.
Yup, thats how it is. I was at park city like 2 days ago, and i seriously took off the lip of a jump about 15 times while either someone was on the lip falling, on the deck falling, or tumbling down the landing. Just keep going and if you hit them, its their fault.
haha i have the same thing happen in mine too and it pisses me off they stand in front of the feature and wait plus the fucking ski instructor teaching them does they just need to stay out!
it is even wost when you are fucking givener down the hill switch and you know how you usally just look over one sholder and so you have like a blid spot anyhow and then a snowboarder is carvin back and fort cuts infront of you you dont have enouff time to turn one ski goes between his feet and the 2 of you go flipping down the hill then you are bleding from your head and he is like are you ok
i hate when the little kids approach the jump from the left and then at the last moment decide the right side looks better and cuts in front of the jump just in time to cut you off and make you lose all your speed and case the jump
the problem is a lot of these little kids have bad influences on them. for example at norquay the other day one of the ski instructors lead a group of 5 kids aged 10-11 through the park and was leading them off the sides of the lips of the rails. now those little kids are going to think it is okay and do it until they are mature enough to realize that it is not ok to do that. ski instructors are a large part of the problem.
dude dont be hatin my dad hits jumps and goes off the sides butt thats cause hes 52 and rides race skis. 20 years ago he had bigger balls than u would on pencl skis.
the other day i was skiing some park with atlantaski and atlskier up at app in nc and there were like 4 5 or 6 yr olds that would fly through the park in a huge out of control snowplow, we were standing there waiting to hit features and he would fly out of no where weaving in between us, it was crazy. gapers shouldnt belong in the park. im not good at park at all, but i hit the features correctlyand dont mess anything up, even though i usually eat it on the actual feature(rails mostly)
i think i speak for most people on the front range of colorado with this thread cause every single person from places without snow come here and fuck everthing up. after 1 day the landings on most jumps at vail breck keystone WP copper are destroyed not to mention takeoffs. it really shouldnt be necissary for park crews to have to come out in the middle of the day and regroom features
I had a bad incident this last weekend with shit like this. end of the day and the park just started to get pretty icy. I hit a small 25" jump and overshot a bit, come up to the next jump and check my speed a bit but didn't enough. end up shooting over the landing a bit and as I come down there is a snowboarder just sitting on the bottum of the jump (had to have fallen but he made no attempt to get out of the way) I end up clipping his board and then proceed to roll down the hill on ice.
shit happens but the noobs really need to stay to smaller stuff or learn to not stand/sit right after a jump.
Ha the race team at my neck of the woods is afraid of entering the park.... they might get hurt. We had a beautiful powder day, the race team had to stay in the lodge and talk about how they can improve! But where I am from I go on days it isnt too buisy or early in the morning. Keeps the gapers clear.
At our hill we had some races come through the park after practice, and this group of 4-5 girls entered the park, and decided they were going to hit the jump on for a lift tower box as a little jump, and they all landed stradling the box, so the last one in the group went really slow, and rolled up the jump and ended up balancing on the lip of it (keep in mind the jump isnt even a foot tall) and then fell foreward off it, completely flattening it. This pissed me off, so I yelled at the girl for ruining a feature she obviously had no intention of hitting. As I was doing this, I noticed she was wearing a full face and her poles had skis on the end of them...so yeah, I yelled at a retard.
yea i made a thread about this a couple years when i landed on a kid who managed to wander into my landing...broke his wrist and his "instructor" who was taking the kid into the park when the kid could barely ski. Ski patrol blamed it on me and i got bitched at for landing backwards and being reckless when i was in COMPLETE control. Some things people will never learn.
its getting so bad, i saw at least 3 people every minute do this at copper last weekend, they have the jib park at the top of the eagle and they always have sick little hits up but at least one gaper a minute skis in front of you, nand then this mountain photog was trying to take pics of gapers on the staging area for the rails and was trying to get everybody to move off the in run. fuck that guy and everybody whocant ski that comes to the front range
2 weeks ago i landed on some dumbasses head. he really shouldn't have been sitting there, and the run before, some gaper snaked and went off the jump at the same time, funny shit. haha. but yeah, screw the gapers!
