After seeing Walk The Line...it puts into perspective just how much better snowboard films are then ski films.

watch LOVE HATE, it is around 3 years old and is amazing. Also Burning Bridges. Both of these videos are very progressive snowboard videos. Also the THINK THANK guys are way ahead of their time.

ONe reason I think this happens, is that snowboarding generally just has more money to work with as far as producing/directing/editing movies.

The only snowboard movie companies I am impressed with are absinthe and standard. I like big mountain footage, and ski movies tend to do that better. Snowboard movies are far too jib and urban heavy.

I've always liked ski videos more. I watch both but I can relate to skiing easier because I ski.

Draw the Line isn't a good example at all...you can talk shit on me all you want but that movie was mad boring. yea, big table blah blah blah cool. yea that huge table was dope, but i'd much rather watch Follow Me Around or That. now those are good examples of why snowboard movies are way sicker than ski movies, especially That. (for this year at least). if anything i'd say Draw the Line is more ski movie steeze than anything.

Did you like That? I wasnt a big fan but i think People was the best snowboard movie this year. Follow me around came in 2nd and to round off the top 3 id say State of mind because i like ghetto riding, music etc.

I agree with the fact that they have alot more creative shots, and it takes about 2 years or so for skiers to hit something of the same. But for me I think skiing looks alot more stylish, just my opinion. But props to the real good snowboard companies out there

i thought That. was sick as helllll...i haven't seen People though, i should get on that. and in my opinion, State of Mind was shit. so dissapointing.

i think that the difference is snowboard movies seem to capture the fun of the sport better like in mdp's follow me a round, it seems like they are just a bunch of guys chilling and having fun. in ski movies it still seems fun but not on the same level as snowboarding and it seems like skiing focus' too much on being artsy

Ya to a certain extent I'd have to agree with you, although I think that nobody should really compare the two sports, it's just the same thing with different tools and mechanics...totally not comparable. I seriuosly don't mind that they are ahead of us though, I mean...they had like a 10 year head start lol.
Snowboarding will only push us forward, they won't make us dissapear cause skiing is just sick with all the stuff you can do with two seperate planks in the air etc.

I agree Level 1 does edit their films bettter than the snowboard film companies but Snowboarding is more inventive they start the trends we follow. Skiers need to be more creative then snowboarders aint got shit on us

yeah, and thats why the guys in Draw The Line are useing the same jump as the guys in Push, with the same angle and same slow motion.
yeah, their way ahead.

snowboard movies have more like feeling and mood in them
All times are Eastern (-5)
