i was trying all day yesterday and i coouldnt get them down for nose i would throw all my weight foward an the skis would lift so what am i doing wrong?
just ask ur mom to butter ur toast for u. jk. uhh that sounds really weerid. if u have invaders, just lean forward and keep ur skis together but don't uses ur edges
umm i have no idea about the flex of the phil los skis. but.....if theres one thing i can do better than anyone it's butter. turn "make sure to turn first" then lean forward, keep your ski's fairly close to eachother, when you get them to come up in the back. You want to make sure you keep moveing down the hill while your buttering "to make it look steezy". have fun
is there anything differant you do while doing a 360 butter or just spin around another 180? i can do both tail and nose butters but i want to learn 360 nose butters
Personally, I have found butters much EASIER since getting stiffer boots, it makes getting yur tails off the ground easier. The flex of the ski is much more important than that of the boots. But, when it comes down to it, practice makes perfect.
is it easy to break fujis by buttering? last year i would do these butter things all year, and they are extremely soft now. should i stop buttering, i dont wanna break muh skis
if u wanna get goood u will break skis. thats just how things go in our ever progressing sport. but yeah, my fugatives felt really stiff when i got them, but now they are soft and have not brokem yet. but they will, tyeh will
for nose just lean forward and left or forward and right and set a little spin to the side you lean to in order to butter that way. i like to carve set a little spin and pop and lean forwards all in one motion and that works pretty well. just play around with it alot and see what works for you.
i was playing with butters today- so fun, but when you get 1/2 way around, i was having a hard time popping around the rest of the way.... any helpful hints??
switch fakie butters are alot easier than nose butters. Basically just try and lean on your tails and start spinning around without cathcing your edges and when you get to a certain point, JUMP and finish spinning the rest of the way that you want to go. it works best if you try and do it off of a little bump or something, doing it on flatland is kinda gay.
but seriously, carve into it more, and throw all your weight forward. if you watch Rainville do it, you'll see that he keeps his skis pretty close together. he also throws his hands forward to stabilize.
just throw a little more spin into and try and really get up on your tips. then if you can, try to pop off of your tips and/or bring them off the snow quickly and shifty/spin to get back around forwards.
There's so many different ways of buttering. I'm acctually really liking when you just lean forward and spin, like don't think about getting right on the tips or anything, or lifting up your knees, have it so your tails are only a few inches off the snow then spin that around. It's kinda differnt than most people do it
you got to put your hips into it, first throw your upper body down the way you want to spin then follow through with your hips when your body is about 90degrees around.
ill tell u right know switch butters are easier so get those down first. i also find to help learning butters going forward just to do a 180 but keep ur tips on the snow this gives u the feel then u can start doing true butters
