Well let the bad news begin. Although not always accurate forecasters are predicting a 50/50 chance of El Nino this winter. I've had enough warm winter weather over the past few years to last me FOREVER!

i think la nina is a cold, but dry cycle, whereas el nino is fucking hell

el nino means that the pacific ocean water is going to be warmer. for some reason it actually helps snowfall, like it did when we had the epic season of 98/99.

Just going with what the article said "warmer-than-average temperatures to the West.... between January and March 2007"

This doesn't strike me as something good, but we still have our 50% chance!

04/05 season had uber rain in August/September so as long as nothing super irregular occurs in the next few months im thinking we should be on track for just an OK season
