you dont need your old strap... either just wrap the booster in the same place or punch some holes in the non-stretch nylon part of the booster and screw it on with the old powerstrap screws
yeah you need to completely take out your old power strap. best way to do it is to drill out the stock rivets and put in the booster strap with a rivet kit or a locking nut and bolt that fits through the old holes. in order to make the holes through the nylon in your booster strap, just heat up a nail over flame and it will melt right through with no loose ends of nylon fabric.
^rivet wha? just punch a hole in the booster strap (make sure you measure and align first) and put it where the original strap went using the original screw.
When you get it in and ski on it, you should let me know how they are. I have been really considering getting one for a while, but dont know how they really help.
I just cut off my old straps and never installed the Booster Straps. Just put them on every time and trust me, without them you just won't try the stuff you do if you had them. They are essiential for you because they are that good.
