Booster straps are for keeping a tight fit on the tongue of your boots. What it basically does is with better fit in the shin region of your boot you get quicker response.
So it's practical for ski racers but I don't honestly think it will do anything for shin bang... aka shin splints.
Shin splints are like a tissue bruises of the area. A result of probably a hard landing... of over doing it or overtraining and not warming up type of thing...
If you want to get rid the pain in your shins take a break. Get some rest. Don't go running or anything like that.
If you do need to ski, ice your shins after and get ibuprofene
yeah, shin bang is from having boots that dont fit you properly, if you can move your calf inside the cuff of your boots your going to get shinbang. this is usually a result of a combination of boots that were bought too big and sized improperly and a shitty packed out liner. if you really want to stop shing bang, go to a real ski store, and get a pair of boots fitted by someone who knows how to fit boots... if your getting shinbang already booster straps arent gonna do anything
