I traveled to Japan this year to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a Cross Country Olympic athlete. Unfortunately, I couldn't handle the sport's hardcore culture of partying, drugs, and reckless behavior. I found myself with no other choice but fall back on Plan B and ski backcountry this year. This was my season of (crushed) dreams.
