WINTER STORM OAKLEE moved into the Southern Rockies on Tuesday February 22, 2022 and the boys and I headed down through South Colorado Taos Ski Valley Bound! We hung around in Taos, New Mexico for 2 more days dining on tasty Mexican cuisine and DEEP Fresh Powder Snow. Thursday 2/24/22 was a STELLAR Day for riding with well over a foot of the good stuff.
The West Basin Ridge at Taos Ski Valley is INSANE! Just a quick Hike to the tippy top, click on your skis, and pick your line! Perilous Descents and Glorious Snowfields await the Bold.
For the Daring be sure to wear a helmet and try to ski and ride in control. We were riding with avalanche beacons just in case an inbounds slide occurs Ski Patrol can have a chance of helping dig us out.
