"On hold", a little edit of some clips I got during the 22-23 and 23–24 seasons. We planned to make a 2-year movie, and that's why I never used the clips. Unfortunately, one of our friends got injured last season and couldn't ski as much and get the clips he wanted. We then decided to put the project on hold and make whatever we want with the clips we got. The movie project is not over or abandoned, it's just on hold !

TLDR: I got bored and edited down footage from what was easily the worst-conditioned day last season at jah loaf.
We took one lap this day total, and the crew lasted a rough two and a half hours on the concrete landings and pellet inruns. While hiking, we decided that a 3 person slvsh game could in no way be confusing, and alas we learned differently. After a brain rotting couple hour hike sesh, we took our lap down the notorious "Chicken Pitch" to find that the snow was closer to baseball sized ice chunks. After a quick straight line and a pit stop at Mountainside Grocer, we went home and looked at the footage to immediately say, there's nothing usable from this day.
Looking back this might be one of the funnest videos to edit down so far and there's some gold in that. Bottom line this video is fried, and meant for NS eyes.

Promised Land and Lappin’ are back for our 5th season. In true East Coast fashion, the 2024 season had its host of freeze/thaw cycles, rain, washouts and setbacks. In February of 2024, our freeride team set out on a 3 week emotional bonding experience to the northern reaches of the Rocky Mountain Trench.
Making a sled skiing video is a lot of things happening at once. It’s fun, it’s scary, beautiful, and humiliating. Every day comes with its own sets of pressures and fears, be they personal or environmental. But at the end of the day when you get to watch the 20 seconds of footage you captured. It makes you feel like maybe you’re actually doing something right out there, and sometimes that’s the best feeling in the world.

We had another incredible week at Banff Sunshine Village for our Gear Week. We had the best products, some amazing conditions, and access to a range of incredible terrain parks for testing. Alongside the staff of both Newschoolers and Powder, we had more than 20 local rippers involved in testing outerwear from brands across the skiing spectrum. Out of everything we tested, we narrowed it down to the five best kits for doing it all from the park to backcountry touring.
