This was hands down my favourite gap at Treble Cone, last winter in NZ!
Matt Sweet spotted it, Alistair Garland opened it, and I just followed along for the good times!

Hands down, the deepest snow I’ve skied in Europe!
Stoked as to get some big drops in and a bunch of spins while in St Anton last week before heading to Japan for FWT Hakuba next week!
🎧They were floaty times, so I backed the video with this floaty tune I made🎧
WOO!! Yann says I sound like a small dog when I ski.. 🐶
FWT Hakuba, Japan is only two weeks away! So in the interest of training (& sanity) Yann Rausis and I went for a quick jaunt up to Austria to follow the storm. We hit it right on time!!
This is my favourite spine line at TC. Riding from top to bottom is awesome, and there are a million different ways to ski off either side of it on the way down!
Can't wait to get back there next year.
Here’s the pov of my run at the Frontier FWQ 2* in New Zealand this season.
I wanted use this event as an opportunity to practice freestyle in competition, something I haven't really dabbled that heavily in until recently.
I took a decent hip check on the cork 7, but I’m stoked to finally do one in a comp, as well as landing my first two 3’s and a frontflip!
As far as a training comp, I am stoked on what I learned!
I tried to ski this line maybe 8 years ago, the last time the NZ Open big mountain event was held in the Motutapu chutes at Treble Cone In Wanaka, New Zealand.
That time I screwed up the first hop turn and straight lined out to the left, crashing into the chute.
This time everything went to plan!
Goal for next season is to ski it faster!!
Hot laps with the bros at Treble Cone, New Zealand!
Everything is ON up there right now!
There were left 3’s, right 3’s, loose 3’s and tight 3’s. Plus a couple flips and some spicy ski ballet for good measure!

Recently, Treble Cone NZ has been a total pepper farm, with spicy lines ripe for the picking!!

While hanging out in Andorra waiting to compete in the 3rd FWT event of the 2018 season we had a bit of downtime to go out and rip!
This is all from one day, where basically the whole FWT crew was out and absolutely sending.
The energy was high and everyone was inspiring everyone else!
Easy best day of the season.
After a hectic start of the winter travelling to Revelstoke, Hakuba, Kicking Horse and Whistler in the space of 2 months, I finally made it back to Verbier and had an awesome day blasting around with the Kiwi crew!
It was refreshing to go and ride without the pressure of shooting or competing.

The jam in this edit is one of mine, I haven't completed it yet, but when I eventually do it will end up on SoundCloud.

After returning from the attempted FWT event in Hakuba, Japan (which unfortunately didn't run due to weather and snow conditions) Yann Rausis and me headed back to Revelstoke to hit some pow, pillows and big drops with short trannys, before cruising over to Kicking Horse for FWT stop two (plus the restaged Hakuba event)
We managed to time our arrival perfectly with the first big storm in a while, and had a hell of a time!
All the GoPro shots are from my head.

Riding Revelstoke in Jan was awesome, it is for sure one of my favourite resorts in the world. It's a totally different style of riding to places like Verbier or the European Alps (generally speaking)
You spend most of your time searching for hidden features in the forests, skiing pillow lines and sending drops between trees.
It is a heap of fun, and super cool to mix things up by returning there for the first time in about 5 years!
Huge thanks to Valley Retreat for hooking me up with a place to stay while I was in town! Their set up is rad, and if you are looking for a cool place to crash it is definitely worth checking out here - http://www.valleyretreat.ca/

Indescribable. Just pure. Raw. No control. Snow-blading.
On hand painted blades.
Just your pretty standard Treble Cone closing day really, the sun was out, the grass was smooth and the stunts were RADICAL.
Here's to another awesome season in little old Wanaka, New Zealand.
Filmed on a GoPro Hero 5 Black
Here's the GoPro video of my 2nd place run at the Frontier FWQ 4* at the Remarkables in New Zealand the other week!
The event was epic, and I am stoked to put down a fun line!

This is my first run on the Freeride World Tour at Vallnord Arcalis in Andorra back in Feb. I love grassy landings, but that first drop was almost a write-off...
My run from FWT Haines, Alaska!
My comp run from the final stop of the Freeride World Tour in Verbier.
This was a damn fun run and I'm loving the flips right now!
I'm stoked to come away with 4th place!
In New Zealand, there is a ski field called Treble Cone, which consistently draws a crowd of mad folk from the four corners of the Earth (Flat Earth theory?) who all froth past the brim on Freeriding and getting a bit silly.
This Started as my season edit, but ended up with a bunch of shots of all the crew havin'a'time on a few of the best TC rat pack days of the season.
The POV footage is all from my head on my Drift helmet cam and the first minute is just me, with Cam Mcdermid ripping some grass in a black suit in a couple of clips.

This is my winning run from The North Face Frontier FWQ 4* freeride comp in New Zealand in August 2016. This year was the first time the comp has run as a four star rated event, so people were throwing down some pretty cool stuff!
I actually changed my plan half way through the run as the cliff I was planning to hit scared the shit out of me as I got closer to it, so I went to plan B for the bottom section.
It was a great day and I am stoked to see such a highly rated event run in NZ!

Powder days at Treble Cone are an amazing thing. Usually it takes about half the day for the Saddle basin to open, and seeing as the saddle is where the magic happens, frothers and powder hounds will line up for at least 30 mins in the hopes of scoring first chair.
When the rope drops, chaos ensues as the Saddle Opening Chinese Downhill gets under way. Anyone who has been there knows how mad it can be, and I for one love the madness!
This is me scoring 2nd chair on a mad dog pow day mid July.
For those who missed the joke, The intro scene and voice over/song is from a classic American ski movie called Hot Dog.
It's funny as, and a must see for anyone interested in snow sports,

This is my season edit from Europe winter 2016.
I was competing on the Freeride World Qualifier series all winter and I did heaps of travelling.
I did a bunch of comps over the 3 months I was there. It was a damn good time and I qualified for the FWT!
I saw more of Europe than ever before and met people from everywhere with snow, and some from places with none. The cultural learning was out of hand! I couldn't tell you how many times I had yarns about language and history...
This video is a mash up of all the best clips of me skiing this winter, some of the long shots are from comps but most are just from hooning around at various ski resorts in Europe.
The song is Reconstruct by Photay, the original version is a little different as I edited the arrangement to fit the video better.

Treble cone closing day, the most important day of the New Zealand ski season.
Straight Ski, Hot Doggin, Snow Blading, Mono Ski Backflip, Pond Skim Backflip, Mean Bails and Penguin Slides. All capitalised to show how important each activity is.
This should give a pretty good feeling of a standard Treble Cone closing day.
Cant wait for opening day 2016!

This is my run from the Nendaz Freeride FWQ 4* finals in Switzerland last week.
Conditions were prime and my run was fun as huck!
POV footage of my run from the 2016 Jasna Adrenalin FWQ 4* in Slovakia,
I placed 6th overall.
Most people assume that when you grow a beard you become more manly, but if you watch to the end of the video with the volume turned up you will notice by my high pitched vocalizations that I am still part 10 year old girl.
I guess the only thing my beard is good for is catching milk from breakfast...
Off the plane from New Zealand and straight into some seriously epic pow riding in Verbier.
My first week in Europe was damn fine.
It looks like we caught the unicorn though, seems like most of Europe is struggling, Champoluc in Italy where I am now based is certainly bare.
Fingers crossed for more of this in the coming weeks!
This is my 2015 New Zealand ski season edit, it contains straight skis, pow, drops, flips, snow blades, The NZ Open, monoski, dirt skiing, a pond skim backflip and scroggin.
I had a great season skiing in NZ this year. Without a doubt the best NZ season I can remember!
I was ski instructing at Cardrona and in between teaching kids how to french fry I was able to make the most of my ride breaks to go and ski parts of the mountain that haven't been on in years!
This is a mash up edit of all my best bits from Last season in Europe. No fancy filler shots just skiing. Most of the clips are shot in Verbier. The last shot is of me blowing my knee in the second run of the qualifier day at the Nendaz 4* Music- Tame Impala , Apocalypse Dreams Filming- Everyone.
The second instalment of Blade Nation season 2. Coming right to your optic nerve from Switzerland! I didn't think we were taking this so seriously, but it looks like we have seasons now. So that's pretty fruity. But I guess we all progressed so far over the first "season", to become the most highly skilled Bladers on the whole entire mountain. So its probably justified. This is all filmed in Verbier at the famous One Piece Descent. Don't even try to front on our skills homie. Don't be messin with the Blade Killa, Im the number one thrilla, got flows like vanilla, and tricks like Godzilla, I'm the gorilla in your filla shots, I'm the sub zero blade robot, the possessor of mad skills, thrower of sick thrills, a style so nauseating you'l need sea sick pills. "The key to Blading is to always, ride it out" - Jack Wildeblade
This is my 3rd edit from Europe. Most of the skiing is filmed in Verbier and Bruson.
Ive been hanging out in Verbier the last few weeks. Is so good ya!
This is straight up helmet cam pow footage from my first 3 days on snow for the season. Nothing major just a whole lot of fun! Most of it is filmed at Bruson on day one, and there are also a couple shots from Verbier. Link to my Blog - samleefreeskiing.blogspot.ch/

Got my new 2013 winter getup the other day. Thought Id just nip over the river for some fresh... Stuff.. Managing slough was essential, Whilst riding these kinds of slopes, you run the risk of being caught in a Gravelaunch.
This edit is from my last 13 days in whistler plus a little taster of the pow in Brighton UT in March.
