The tittle says it all. The first Smelly Socks mini movie is here and it's all about the summer vibe. Daniel and Antti spent a week filming with Martin in a little, but super fun, snowpark at GFS camp Faction team week in French Tignes. Than drove together to Les Deux Alpes to be joined by Tom Ritsch and Zuzicka Stromkova to finish the filming and do million summer laps with pretty sick crew of homies. This is the result of our European summer mission. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we did, and that it will make all of you guys stoked for upcoming season! See you on the hill.

Yesterday was super snowy and windy day at Stubai. Normally SUPER crowded public line was closed and totally empty..It looked way too good with all the fresh snow, to not hit it. Even tho the wind was fucked sketchy. Here are couple maneuvers we managed to capture. Enjoy.

Smelly Socks 3.1 is, unfortunately, the one and only Smelly Socks webisode this year. Simply for two reasons: We have zero budget for this and Daniel hurt his knee. But this doesent mean Smelly Socks are done! We tried hard and made at least one this year. And we will try even harder to bring you more Smelly Socks edits in upcoming season, so dont be sad and stay tunned!
This particular time for 3.1, we visited Absolut park Flachauwinkl in Austria. Daniel, Antti and Martin drove with Dans sketchy 1998 VW Golf literally overloaded with all kinds of classic shit like bags, skis, filming equipment...But also pretty gross shit, like a mixture of candies and leftover snacks on the floor, which at some point, mixed with melted snow, became some sort of nasty candysauce as we called it, while Martin was constantly complaining about Daniel driving too fast and too furious. We drove about 6 hours from Czech Republic to Flachau where we all stayed at Matthias Krallingers amazing house in the middle of the mountain. and he even has his own miniramp in a basement, where we had nice afternoon sessions after skiing with beers and a good music.
Overally we had 4 days to film the edit. But as it usually is the weather didnt really cooperate, so we had 1 day off and stayed home. That left us 3 days to work with. Unlike the bummer day at home, those other days luckily worked out perfectly for us! We had 2 days of sun that we used in a park and even one deep powder day! Where Daniel and Antti tried to be like The Big Picture guys and hit cliffs and stuff on their centermounted park skis, doin countless tomahawks, calling it the best day at work ever pretty much after each hit. At this point we were also joined by everyones favourite ZuzicÂÂka Stromkova, and she was sending the cliffs with dem boyz like theres no tomorrow, leaving Daniel and Antti speechless! Daniel dropped his first cliff ever in his life and Antti was killing it as usually on his 1.0s - for example his massive nosebudda dub 10 out off totally fucking nowhere speaks for itself. The rest of it youll see in the webisode. So sit comfy, blast your volume and enjoy the rocknroll!

Winter is coming in hot, and I´m 6 months after my ACL and meniscus surgery... After long time of pretty much not doin anything except workouts, long gym sessions and all the boring stuff.. I finally felt comfortable enough and deciced to fully test my knee in a skatepark. Hard impacts, pops, crashes, goin fast, doin tricks... The knee feels good and i think I´m ready to get back on skis in full power again! And HOPEFULLY to film new season of Smelly Socks!

After a little break due to my knee injury, the new Smelly Socks episode is actually, and also finally, happening! This time I decided to step out off my snowpark enviroment and visit the mecca of deep powder skiing - Japan. And ski my first real powder, on real pow skis with some of my real best friends like Antti Ollila - also first time pow, Zuzicka Stromkova and Martin Bernard behind the lens ofcourse. It's been a great experience for sure, thanks to our local connection, guide and sick skier Mr. Gen Sasaki. I'm really hyped to present you the teaser, for the last Smelly Socks episode, Sayonara.
Daniel Hanka decides to step out of his traditional park enviroment and travels to Japan. Putting together crew of his riends Martin Bernard, Antti Ollila and Zuzicka Stromkova, to hit and film their first real powder on real powskis in their life and exeprience the true Japanase dream, accompanied by local sender Gen Sasaki.
Hey Newschoolers! I'm finally back on skis with my new knee and also with a new video project called Cruise'n'Roll. Which I'm really happy to present to you right now and I really hope you will appreciate it the same way as you did with my previous project Smelly Socks - and once more - I'm really thankful for that! But it was time to move on....and this is it! It is slightly different, but my classic ski segments are still gonna remain, just enriched about some behind the scenes of my ski life that I'm so much thankful for... From traveling, events, homies, messing around with the Wildcat to rolleblading and partying..This all should be Cruise'n'Roll.
In the first Cruise'n'Roll, I'll take you to my homeresort, where I'll be skiing in the snowpark for the first time after 9 months long rehab of my back to back surgery of my right knee.

I finally got official license plates, so I was able to head over to Astria's one and only Innsbruck. Where we're suppose to ski famous park above IBK and have a blading session too. Over 700km was a real test for the Wildcat but with poor planning and some little fails, that was not the only test on our way.

After 14 hours drive and some more struggles, I finally menage to get to Mottolino park and join homies James Woods, Ian Rocca and Luca Minninger for a good old spring session in the park.

Alex Hall, Antti Ollila, Will Berman, Benjamin Forthun and myself had a last day of Faction Skis team shoot, weather was pretty bad and we couldn't film for the movie. So we decided to have some fun on abandoned snow bar.
After the Faction Skis team shoot, Antti talk me to stay one more day and chill in Annecy after heavy team week.. So I stayed, we went for a lunch, met up with long Faction skis teammate Arnaud Rogier and suddenly we went water skiing on my park skis. It was really cold, really windy.. Water was also cold, and in the background you can see mountains covered with snow. However, in the end we've been all stoked that we we're able to do this. Shout out to Arno, for hooking us up with his sick boat and wetsuits to wear!

A summer project that came out of nowhere during my trip to America - Good 'Ol Ski Edit has been filmed by many people with lots of different cameras with different settings, and it's all about skiing and a good vibes, like it was with ski edits back in the days. This is somewhat of tribute to the times, when people were shredding together and filming each other, hustling with the shots afterwards to make something out of it. This has been sure a bit of a hustle.. But it was all worth it and i hope you guys will enjoy it..and most importantly..that it'll make you want to do out there and shredd!!!

In January 2019, after I finished rehab of my second ACL surgery, I was looking for a filmer for my new Cruise'n'Roll project. I posted an Instagram story and got a reply from a random french guy, fulltime engineer Erwan, aka Kekous. We never saw each other, exchanged couple messages on gram and suddenly he took a month of his regular everyday job to go to Czech Republic and film with me. Pretty insane if you ask me. But that's how modern world works. This video summes up the month we spent together from Erwan's perspective. It was definitely a time to remember and brings back tons of memories. It takes a month to make a friend for life.

After the Covid had cut the ski season short. Europe lockdown finally eased up and I went for a short summer ski trip to Snowpark Zermatt, for a little shredd.. Park was awesome and I felt pretty good. So I decided to film a little and made this edit... Enjoy!!

I spent a bit more time on my blades this summer, because Covid made skiing impossible. This is the collection of shots i managed to get during this summer which i spent in Prague. We've spent a month in Tirol to experience the classic pre-season warm up on local crowded glaciers Stubai and Kaunnertal and commited to film the first episode of our new project here. Bold move after 6 months without skiing. Unfrotunately Austria went into lockdown again three quarters into our filming trip and the ski resorts had to be closed. But was it that unfortunate? The power of chaotic faith brought Danihell & Simba into Austrian Alps. Original plan was to meet up with local hero Tom Ritsch enjoy the Kitzsteinhorn snowpark, however the park was not ready and therefore Tom took us to scope around the mountain. We have found the sacred place called The Crystal Bahn, full of curvy terrain, which became our favourite place on earth for next 4 sunny days. Therefor the name: As Is. We just used the mountain terrain as we found it and we were basically just skiing, finding natural hits and little lines to do tricks on.

After a wild off-piste adventure it was time for Simon and Daniel to take a sanctuary in a save environment of perfectly shaped park jumps made out of the nicest aldente corduroy you can ever wish for. The long-awaited finale of CzechMate season 1. is finally here. This time in a form of a tiny movie. From fresh corduroy of Livigno jumps we've seen in Ep.3 we'll make switch into what most of us like the most - the slushy spring shredding. This time we sticked around Innbruck's famous spot Nordkette for the last week of the season in Austria. After Nordkette closed it's gates for good, we roadtripped to Switzerland, where we spent a great time in the Alaia glacier park. Now please enjoy the CzechMate season 1 finale.
