The third annual FilmerUnknown contest brought in submissions from over 100 talented filmmakers from around the world. Open qualifying round submissions were judged on merit, and each of the 10 selected Finalists were provided with a Sony Action Cam kit and given six weeks to shoot a 90-second edit- subject matter and content of their choosing.

On one of the best powder days of 2015, Jason Abraham, the beloved Tahoe skier and photographer was skiing at Squaw Valley capturing photos of a skilled crew in notorious steeps. After the session, he decided he?d take a free ski run down Main Chute in the Palisades. After dropping into the line he'd scored hundreds of times, Jason picked up speed and came out of the run faster than anticipated. He caught an edge and was flung on his back. The impact resulted in a spinal cord injury causing paralysis from the shoulders down and making him a #HighFivesAthlete -- part of the same population he'd helped photograph and promote for years.
QUADRILYZED is the story of Jason's new version of life as an athlete, as a photographer, and as a father.

Over half a meter of new snow in Livigno made the Big Air contest impossible for the final day of the FIAT Nine Knights, so a Jib Contest was held instead. Roy Kittler reigned supreme on the rad jib features of 'Il Castello', with Henrik Harlaut in second and Fabio Studer third.
Kyle Decker put together his own mini-movie, "New Era," back in 2009 with a few select members of the Level 1 crew. Featuring content from Level 1's feature film "Refresh," Kyle's edits are a collection of the some of the best, and, for lack of a better term, "progressive" shots from that year. Truth be told, a couple years later, they still hold up!
