Gang gang. Here at NS we see grassroots ski crews and the things they do as paramount for the future of the sport. Skiing is not a solo activity after all. Each year we reward the crew of the year with one of our precious ski trophies, and these are our nominees. Enjoy these bangers and watch the full movies each crew put out, they are all quality.

- JP Trivia hosted on Instagram Live- Micah will host an Instagram Live trivia hour, where we will have 10 celeb guests confirmed beforehand who will drop in and try their best to answer questions that Micah throws their way. Fans can participate by also answering in the comments section of Instagram during this part of the contest. We will monitor the 3-4 fans who answered the most questions correctly in the comments and then bring them in live at the end, with the contestant who answers the most questions correctly winning a pair of Armada JJs!
Presented to the outstanding female skier of the year, the Newschoolers Skier of the Year award recognizes those who have made the biggest impact on the ski scene in 2019.

Deciding who counts as a breakthrough skier is pretty subjective. At the end of the day, our judges make a call and it's based on who they feel really moved the needle in the previous year, in terms of raising their industry stock. It could be someone who wins a major event for the first time, drops a career-changing video part, or moves into the upper echelons of the ski game for the first time. This year's nominees certainly all made that leap this season and we can't wait to see what they have to offer in years to come.

Since the beginning, the ski edit has been the blood pumping through the veins of Newschoolers. We couldn’t have an awards ceremony without recognizing perhaps the most important part of ski media in our eyes. What exactly constitutes an edit is hard to define and we’ve given our judges significant leeway when it comes to saying what counts for this category.
We headed to Banff Sunshine Village Resort to put the most fun park and all-mountain skis out there through their paces. Our team of local rippers are skiers just like you, and we had them give their honest feedback on all 28 skis to create these videos for you.
