A run down Hell's Half-Acre, an extremely demanding high-alpine run within Big Sky's Headwaters area. Reaching this line requires one of the most technical hikes we've done anywhere.
This run was recorded in February 2020. Thanks to recent snowfall and the lack of crowds up here, snow quality was outstanding.

A bubble of friends relieve their q-tine boredom by venturing to the side country during the shutdown in Colorado. Shortly upon the resort closures, the snow kept dumping. In the first few weeks, Loveland Pass became a circus when hundreds of people flocked to the easily accessible back country-feel zone from all over. This resulted in the governor closing the pass, so the crew eased away after some good days and dug into the side of a small mountain in summit county for a week, then made a few climbs up Keystone and Breck before uphill-access was closed for the year. There isn’t much else to do when you live in a resort town and everything is closed, but we kept busy with the help of some shovels, shuttle cars, skins/snowshoes and a little bit of determination.
A run down the Super Bowl at Mount Hood Meadows, in Oregon. This high-alpine zone is rarely open and takes 1,700 vertical feet of hiking to reach. The area is most often open in the spring, and we hit the resort April 2021 to check out the slope for ourselves.

Ski season has been a blast so far! With all the boys home from school we have been lapping the park at our home mountain whenever possible! Every year befor...
I didn’t hit rails, I didn’t spin, didn't hit big lines or drops... but I did come back during the season I was told I was not going to get to ski in. I had torn my acl/meniscus April 2018 and missed most of the next season. I drove back to Boston for the summer and fall to have surgery (by the same surgeon who does all of Boston's major sports teams)(((worth going back east for))) and completed the bulk of my PT at MGH and came back to CO and back to skiing during the big storm of March 2019. Luckily Colorado had a great snow season and I was able to keep it going well into summer thanks to Abasin and being in the best shape of my life from PT which brought on lots of hiking. This edit is mostly post-season BC, late abay days, choppy summer skiing and dog laps...Oh and some good times with the people who I had to struggle see shredding all season while working at the mountain but still encouraged me to work harder to get back sooner to shred with them, and that paid off. It was a hard fought victory when I first got back on skis after being told to hang them up for the season. Thanks to all that still made it an unforgettable season.

Original plan was to visit Austria and Norway last season, but corona messed up our plans. Luckily we had two great weeks in Zillertal skiing the finest mountains of Austria. Now we have these two weeks in 5 minute short film called "Zillertal Adventures". Enjoy!

A POV run down Homewood's expert Quail Face, including a time-lapse of the (relatively lengthy) catwalks to get in and out. This astounding run is arguably the most beautiful trail in Tahoe, at a resort we already rate a 10/10 for Mountain Aesthetic.

A run down Idiot's Delight at Alpine Meadows, a truly extreme run with a mandatory drop-in off a cornice and filtering into a perilously tight couloir with no room for error. This line takes a 2-5 minute hike to reach from the Summit chair.
Idiot's Delight filters into the Wolverine Bowl, which comprises solid high-alpine terrain. This area then leads to the Face, a short but steep mogul run.
Alpine Meadows is a ski area located near the north shore of Lake Tahoe, California. While technically part of the same resort as Squaw Valley, the two are separate mountains and are connected by a shuttle service. A line down the expert Ninety-Nine 90 area on Park City's Canyons side, starting at 94 Turns, jumping into the woods and chutes to the left of that trail, and popping out on the lower half of Moraine. All of these trails are designated as double-blacks, although several were rated as single-black before Park City and Canyons merged in 2015. Run recorded March 6, 2021; cover was below average for the time of year.
