Wednesday was arguably the best day of the year at squaw, so I figured I would show up on Thursday and backslap everything I could find. Even sprained my MCL in the process!
Worst winter in decades? not so sure.

Ski season has just started and here is a little pre-season rail edit whit Melvin
Winter camping and deep powder skiing. 3 metres of snow as a base and nonstop puking for 5 days. What a trip. British Columbia, of course.
Bushwacks, bootpacks, rappels and a few ski turns. A lot of sidestepping, some call it skiing. Two comrades, one splitboarder trying his luck on skis, second one cutting weight by losing his helmet and chopping off his finger. An all time crew living the alpine dream. A run down Little Burn at Copper Mountain, an intermediate trail that seldom receives grooming. This run is a great place to practice bumps with little consequence (except potentially making a fool of yourself in front of lift riders).

Its been a slow start to the 21/22 ski season. It is great to be back and the kids are starting the season off strong. In this episode Dad makes the annual pilgrimage to the Jark to hike some tubes and makes a trip to Blue Mountain, PA to take some laps with good friend Jon Matalavage. Then the kids tackle the discovery area at Roundtop Mountain Resort for their first day on hill. Enjoy!
