"I loved skiing in Minnesota," states Evan Rutford, as he remembers the past seasons skiing at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota. I believe all Minnesotans would agree, whether reminiscing of years when they lived in the colder climate, or are still looking forward to next season at Hyland. But I feel all of us are drawn to the bigger and better slopes of the west, and at some point will make that journey, if not already, to continue what they love on a grander scale. This is true for me, as I find myself amidst the Rockies, only to be reunited with the very same people I grew up skiing with in Minnesota. It's amazing how many of us find ourselves here, together again, to share our one common passion...
This is the teaser for the 09/10 season ski film A Long Way Home. Shot in Summit County, Colorado, with over 20 Minnesota skiers, and the music of Minnesota artists.
Mike Ness and Ben Cator (PlentySoul) get a little too friendly while filming some follow cam action on Blackcomb back in 2009. Just found this on my computer, and felt it needed to shared. Enjoy!
We've come a long way in the past three winters ... With the introduction of the 'grinch winch' to our crew, we were able to hit many new spots, previously not possible, due to lack of speed. It was a challenge to get the crew together, with so many of us moved away from Kimberley. We still made the best of it and shot as much as possible. Big thanks to all the support we have received over the years and also to the riders for throwing down in front of the camera. Enjoy!

I went home to Wisconsin for 2 weeks in May and had a lot of fun! Among other things we skied on a piece of trash behind an ice rink and we did some skateboarding! I got to spend some quality time with my cat Little Kitty, we also went to a little rail jam event in the middle of Wisconsin which was sick! Blake took Conner and I to shoot some guns for the first time. Overall it was a real fun trip and I hope you enjoy this little mini-sode! Neli Pictures, bunch of worthless guys who can ski a bit (one of us can actually film too) but that's pretty much it. This is what we managed to film at the streets last season, we are pretty stoked. Now watch it, tell us what you think and wait for the part two with all the spring footage dropping in a week.

Had the best season ever this year! Unfortunately my season got cut a little short after I broke my knee cap, but it was a good thing because the video was already 3 minutes which is to long anyways. Special thanks to all friends & Colin at Liberty Skis, as well as; Sandbox Helmets, Ovyo Outerwear, and Swany Gloves for all the support this year!
