Meathead Films - 2 Minute Work Outs: #2 Nor'easter

by Line_Skis
Jun 2010 - 8.4K views

The Meathead Films crew started the new decade shredding a generous Nor'easter storm that blanketed the region with 30 inches. Tony Rossi, Ben Leoni and Asia Magriby braved the woods and winds of Jay Peak, VT, carefully navigating thin cover in the glades. Meanwhile, up in Sugarloaf, ME a pre-dawn cat ride dropped Dan Marion, Stacey Rachdorf and the McDermott brothers on top of the mountain for first tracks hunting. After airing off some boulders and skiing whatever freshies they could find, the guys ended up misdirected for 3 hours in the Maine.

Meathead Films - 2 Minute Work Outs: #1 - QC to VT

Jun 2010 - 8.5K views

"2 Minute Work Outs" are a 12 part webisode series that take you behind-the-scenes with Meathead Films during production of their 2010 release "work it out."

With the first snowfall of the season coming north of the border, this inaugural episode #1 kicks off with a December urban trip through frigid Quebec. Meathead Films met up with gracious host Cedric TF in his hometown of Trois-Riviéres for 3 days of city exploration alongside Andy Parry and Will Wesson.

After the holidays, LJ Strenio got to work conquering some Burlington, VT urban features that have been on the Meathead radar for years. Finally, the right snow conditions, time of day (some sessions started in the pre-dawn hours in order to elude authority) and of course LJ's ridiculous talent, all came together to bag some clutch footage for the new flick.

Meathead Films - 2 Minute Work Outs: #3 - Virginia

The mid-atlantic region had a storybook winter this past season. The first major storm rolled through just before Christmas and Shea Flynn, Will Wesson and Andy Parry braved the blizzard all the way down to Virginia. Arriving in Lynchburg after a 15 hr. drive, the crew got to work digging out urban features around abandoned insane asylums and Evangelical Christian universities. Over the course of 3 days the Meatheads evaded appalachia law enforcement long enough to capture some one-of-a-kind footage and still make it home for the holidays...

Meathead Films - 2 Minute Work Outs: #4 - White Mountains

by Line_Skis
Jul 2010 - 6.3K views

No cost, no crowds and no lifts make backcountry exploration in the White Mountains of New Hampshire both fun and ridiculously tiring. What they lack in elevation (compared to west coast), the presidential range more than makes up for in bad weather, steeps, and avalanche conditions. This past winter the Meatheads were there to take full advantage of the micro weather windows that allow for good skiing. Stacey Rachdorf, Ben Leoni, Ryan McDermott, and Jay Bowen made several missions to Mt. Washington and surrounding peaks score rare, above tree line turns.

Meathead Films - 2 Minute Work Outs: #5 - Maine Event

Jul 2010 - 7.9K views

Meathead athlete, Shea Flynn, grew up skiing the mean streets and icy hills surrounding his twin cities home of Lewiston/Auburn, Maine. When this blue-collar region got socked with the Nor'easter storm seen in Episode #2, Shea scoured the town wrote a list of all the features he's been gunning to hit on film for years. Over the course of 7 frigid days and nights, Shea, Dan Marion, and Cedric TF chucked themselves off every sketchy structure they could find. Shea's brother, Devin and hometown buddy, Joe Gardner, joined in on a session at the epic Flynn family backyard terrain park.

LJ's 1st Pipe Dub

LJ Strenio expanded his repertoire of skills at the Line Team Shoot at Snowbasin by learning a new trick. He got it to his feet but had to leave to catch a flight before perfecting the maneuver. He left very smelly from sprinting up for another hit and we feel bad for the person sitting next to him on the plane.
