The only worthy roof for the talents of Eric Hjorleifson and Thayne Rich is in a backcountry touring hut, where life remains primitive and the skiing, well, radical. This is a complete 4FRNT adventure with great disparity between top talents, each driven to create content from alternating perspectives.
What happens when you put the GAH poster boy (Hoji) in a hut with a rookie like Thayne? Does the puppy breathe life into the old dog? Does he fall in line, one kick turn at a time?
The 2-part Meadow Lodge documents a 3-day adventure with Eric and Thayne in The Esplanades, an eastern sub range of The Columbia’s where the terrain flows east to the Columbia Rivers’ Kinbasket Lake.
Enjoy the crafts of these two backcountry skiers as they literally ski from the door of Meadow Lodge down fluted spines, endless pillows and perfectly gladed tree runs.

Nothing can get in the way of Hoji and a crispy cold beer waiting at the bottom of a run. Especially not a ton of powder and a never ending line of pillow poppers in Interior British Columbia. Buckle up!!
On April 15th 2015 the tax man delivered our refund early...in the form of 40" of fresh. The KYE 120, unlike the IRS, is as predictable and smooth as ever in deep snow. If you want to have fun on a powder day, you can't afford not to have the KYE 120.
Hailing from Oppdal, Norway Team Rider Stinius Skjotskift booked his ticket to link up with the 4FRNT Crew and see what all the hype in North America is about. Watch as Team Riders Thayne Rich, Ian Hamilton, Mark Erickson, show Stinius how they get down in the Wasatch
Although the dart landed in a resort, we still managed to get out of the ski area boundaries and into the backcountry. Due to foggy skies and weak snowpack, we were unable to access the pin-pointed destination. We played it safe and skied the trees. The Canyons Resort received roughly 8 inches overnight and made for a surprisingly fun day. enjoy
4FRNT drops the first episode of an all summer edit series. One to be released per month. This episode will take place in the wonderful Targhee area for some pow and airtime. enjoy.
This Is The Life highlights the silent heroes in our sport that make skiing possible year in and year out. We set our sights on Alta, but these stories could be told at any ski hill in the world. Cheers to all the unsung champions of skiing. The people who aren't on magazine covers or signing deals with sponsors, who don't have 30K followers on instagram to spray their lifestyle to. Cheers to you.
Part 1 of 4: Goldpan, Turnagain Pass, Alaska
Every year team rider Josh Randich invites us up but every spring we get wadded up and can’t break free. This year we decided to pull the trigger early, at a time when arguably the Wasatch and Tetons are at a historical height, not to mention whats happening in Japan, to get a different perspective on AK. Josh has been teasing us with glistening maritime south facing features for years and its time we get up close and amplify the high times found in the Chugach mid season.
Our shred crew consisted of Josh and Wiley Miller. Austin Ramaley, Carson Meyer and myself were there to capture the action. We arrived February 1st and we spent 4 of the next 6 consecutive days climbing south facing spine walls right off the road. Only in AK and for only 1 week, we were living the dream!

This is the culmination of a multi-day filming session on The Turnagain Pass with skiers Joshua Randich and Wiley Miller. For a week in early February, we bet against all odds to score south facing spines, an aspect most consider off limits come spring. Few crews have ventured to AK to see what the locals are all about until now, and with a bit of luck and determination, our crew bagged what are some of the longest, most exposed, yet easy to access lines one can find just a few steps off the road.
"There are two types of Alaska ski trips you read about in ski magazines. There is the heli trip, where skiers hunker in a fishing village or backcountry lodge for weeks on end, “drinking it blue† waiting for weather windows in which they can safely fly to nearby summits and flash down formidable skiing lines in 15 seconds. And there is the hardcore backcountry camping trip, where adventurers rough it on a remote glacier, digging out tents when it snows and bagging peaks and checking off descents when it’s clear. Both sorts of outings, almost always, come to fruition in the springtime.
This is a different Alaska skiing story, one that takes place in the shadows cast by the North’s long nights, where locals drive old pick-ups to the trailhead, skin and climb for hours to ski film-worthy lines, and return in the dark, speaking hardly a word of what they just accomplished." - Derek Taylor, Freeskier Magazine

The Hella Big Air Competition at Mt. Bachelor has become a "must watch"Â event with some of the industry's top competitors battling it out for over $15,000 in prize money. This year our own Ian Hamilton showed up and threw down. We'll let him tell you the full story...
"Last season I more or less retired from serious competitions. When my buddy, Dean Bercovitch, suggested we drive 11 hours to Mt. Bachelor, directly from a backcountry trip in Montana I was a little hesitant. But, the $15,000 in prize money convinced me, and we drove west on Friday to compete on Saturday. I hadn't been hitting many big park jumps, so I had low expectations as there was a strong field of talented skiers; Jonah Williams, Noah Morrison, Nicky Keefer, Jaime Melton, and others. I felt confident on my skis and managed to qualify first into finals with my favorite trick, the Double Misty 1080. The Final was best 2 jumps out of three and I managed to put down my Dub Misty 10 double safety and Switch Misty 10 Truckdriver on my first two jumps. Since I qualified first I was the last man to drop. With nothing to lose I decided to send it and go for a Dub Misty 1260. I managed to stomp it and end up 2nd on the podium with two close friends. Needless to say I'll probably be entering more big air competitions." - Ian Hamilton

Jake Doan and Noah Maisonet present 'As Fun As It Looks,' filmed over 9 days in British Columbia. Run it up NS 👀 !!
"The end of February in Utah last season marked the longest dry spell in recent history. I threw a hail mary and drove 18 hours north to link with Noah, whom I had never met. Turns out, he’s a homie, it snowed the first day I got there, and we got clips every day. We passed a Panasonic x2000 back and forth for 9 days of filming, and this was the result." - Jake
"From my mind to yours, I present to you “MINDSURF”. Blending footage form both summer and winter while incorporating hand-drawn animations, Mindsurf offers a unique perspective of the changing seasons. Join me for a visually unique take on skiing my favorite pillow zones in Revelstoke." - Noah
Shaping Skiing since 2002. We value style and creativity in skiing over medals and podiums. Our Team Rider's value is not defined by social followers but by an impact on their surrounding ski community. We stacked some of our favorite clips from the past two seasons that highlight their skiing. Enjoy!
Matt Sterbenze walks you through ways to get your skis back in gliding form after the early season grind.
This segment is one with deep roots in friendship and skiing. Stinius and Knut grew up in skiing together, best friends from the early days in Oppdal, Norway. They hit urban spots, rode park, built backcountry booters, and fired off hot laps all day long at the local mountain. Today Stinius is one of the most exciting freeride skiers in the world of skiing, and Knut has grown into an incredible videographer and editor. 'Late Bloomers' is a reflection of where they are today.
When the 4FRNT ladies find themselves in the same place with a surplus of snow, they do what they do best, dive in! Enjoy some frothy turns from these gals and get stoked for a winter full of face shots and bottomless stashes!
4FRNT announces a new logo. We wanted a refresh in branding that is both clean and iconic. The new ?4? was designed to reminisce classic ski branding but also to be modern and timeless, an evolution of the brand while keeping us tied to our roots.
15 % Lighter Touring Skis
Eric Hjorleifson and Kye Petersens' signature shapes got 15% lighter. This was achieved by adjusting the core materials in our HOJI and across all KYE skis to a premium Poplar & Paulownia core while our Ravens and Renegades are now built with a our Whiteroom Neo Core.
The Raven Reshaped and New Size
This new freeride touring specialized shape is a fine-tuned masterpiece of it?s original.
Broadened the waist slightly by 2 mms
Lengthened the turning radius to 29m
Altered the camber profile to an extremely gradual 30m reverse camber
This allows fluid turns in the soft snow, edge hold when it?s firm, and superior maneuverability all around. More yet, a 190 cm length added for the taller guys.
The Vandal
A buttery and yet playful park ski that is still incredibly stable. The early rise tip & tail help you get up on your tips easier to butter, well, everything.
The Originator
This is our throwback to the roots of the Freeskiing movement, mogul skiing. As a brand with its birthplace in the heart of the freeskiing movement we simply couldn?t consider our line complete without satisfying our inner Hotdog.

Watch as 4FRNT athletes Nick Greener and Thayne Rich toss the dart for the final installment of the OUTTA BOUNDZ series. Weather and conditions made for a change of plans, but that didn't slow the boys down one bit. -enjoy- Special Thanks to Eric with Snowbird Patrol Thanks for Watching!!
Cap off the Talk Talk series with a short but sweet tip to keep your sticks in working condition for next season, while storing them over the summer months. enjoy and thank you for tuning in.
