What a year... weirdest winter I can remember. Cut Short is a montage of some of the best days and sessions from the 2020 season. There were lots of good days filled with awesome skiing and friends. Here is just a bit of it that I was able to get on camera.
Prior to everything shutting down, last season was really looking up. A competition in Canada to start it off followed by backcountry pillow lines and a deepening snowpack made for a fantastic start. Then a trip down to Taos, NM for another comp and soon after I was found on the couch waiting for the call to see whether or not the competition season would be cancelled. With my finger on the button to purchase a flight to Washington for the next event, I got word of the cancellation. So after having two seasons in a row end short for me (injuries and COVID) I couldn't be more excited for this winter. With snow forecasted for much of the West this week, it seems like the perfect time to get people excited for winter! Big plans in the works for a video series this upcoming season, so let it snow!

I had a lot of free time after Covid-19 hit so I tried to make the best of it safely with the remaining snow in Colorado!
Had so many great memories with countless friends during this time and I couldn't be more grateful. Here are the best moments from the past few couple of months.

Some not newschool freeriding from Ed Dujardin, a 7th grade social studies teacher in Colorado.
Decided to try and defend our title from 2018, ended up procrastinating until 3 days before the deadline but tried to come up with something entertaining regardless, enjoy.

I didn’t hit rails, I didn’t spin, didn't hit big lines or drops... but I did come back during the season I was told I was not going to get to ski in. I had torn my acl/meniscus April 2018 and missed most of the next season. I drove back to Boston for the summer and fall to have surgery (by the same surgeon who does all of Boston's major sports teams)(((worth going back east for))) and completed the bulk of my PT at MGH and came back to CO and back to skiing during the big storm of March 2019. Luckily Colorado had a great snow season and I was able to keep it going well into summer thanks to Abasin and being in the best shape of my life from PT which brought on lots of hiking. This edit is mostly post-season BC, late abay days, choppy summer skiing and dog laps...Oh and some good times with the people who I had to struggle see shredding all season while working at the mountain but still encouraged me to work harder to get back sooner to shred with them, and that paid off. It was a hard fought victory when I first got back on skis after being told to hang them up for the season. Thanks to all that still made it an unforgettable season.

"Here's the season edit! Things worked out on my end this year--no major injuries. So despite all the shit-show shenanigans of 2020, we did some cool stuff and even got some of it on camera. I've been wanting to use this song for years now (ever since Emil introduced me to BTMI back in the Mount Hood days) and finally felt justified in doing so.
Thanks to Emil, Jedd, Scott, Jeremy and Collin for the footy, to Joel and Doyle for chasing missions with me, and to all the other 40 or 50 people I got to ski with this year.
