Sorry, no action shots...not a lot of safe zones in the Utah backcountry right now so this past week I spent some time just sitting on a ridgeline and enjoying the view. Took these two motionlapses while relaxing.

On December 23rd, my roommates and I ventured up to the McGill area of Rogers Pass. Waiting for us was 120cms of storm snow and a really jolly day in the hills.
Much love for all of my ski friends for always helping me get after it, I wouldn’t
be out there without you. Peace be with and a happy holidays from Poophead Productions.
As 2020 fades away the Snowledge crew are home in Tahoe. December storm cycles have been rolling through leaving Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows with a good base...
"I never realized how valuable creative expression was for my mental health until I created this edit. I hope that this video resonates with everyone and inspires you to take some time to express yourself. Whether it’s painting, dancing, singing or skiing, a creative outlet is such a powerful method of mindfulness and self-care. Wishing everyone well during this tough time, hope to see on the slopes!" - Ian

A recap of my 2019/2020 season.
Went into this season with the ambition to film my first part featuring backcountry and street skiing segments. After filming some street and jumps in Washington, I took the long road home to Utah for the holidays. Had the chance to meet up with the Child Labor crew in Salt Lake City and logged some more days in the streets. As the snow started piling up north, I made the annual migration back to Bellingham and got to work in the backcountry with Jake Little, Grady Haskell, and the boys. After a pow filled few months, I drove back home the same day resorts in Utah closed due to the pandemic. Fortunately enough, I had the chance get some spring skiing days in with Alex, Hunter, Owen, and the homies while they filmed for MAGMA II. Once it came time to hang up the skis for the season, I headed out to California for another summer of guiding with All-Outdoors.
So unbelievably grateful for everyone who had a hand in making this season possible. This one goes out to you.

Got out sled skiing and on the brand new skis and managed to get some good turns in and get the first good scratch making my way back to the snowmobile.
Titled Perspectives challenged us to see the world through a different lens. Our goal was to highlight the creativity of backcountry skiing with a variety of unique perspectives. We focused on 4K camera movement and time-lapse imagery to create an immersive and artistic view as we navigate the Teton Range around Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
We teamed up with Après Visuals to see the world through a different lens. They increased the level of production from start to finish. Amon Baker and the team used a RED Cinema 5k and 4k along with Atlas anamorphic lenses to create the distinct style of the film. They skied with the RED, mounted it to a Polaris snowmobile with a Gimbal, set up a 200-yard Cable Cam, and flew it on the Alta drone. Après Visuals can do it all, and it was a pleasure to work with them when creating our newest video. Enjoy!
Thank you, @Red Bull @Red Bull Snow, Spyder, Smith, @GoPro #GoPro, Crosson, and dasoro for all of your support with this project.

Very early season couloir skiing in Colorado. Absolute no fall zone
Who hasn’t dreamed of putting their life on hold to embark on an adventure where only your imagination sets the boundaries for what is possible? A trip where time stands still, far removed from the responsibilities, social engagements, and smartwatches of today’s fast-paced 21st century lifestyle. Cody (@c.cirillo) and Kellyn (@1kellynwilson) turned this dream into a reality. Since they both love to ski, spend time in the great outdoors, and dream all day long of making turns in untracked powder, the two opted for the simple life, one without complication, one where they just take their time. And for unlimited freedom, what better way than to voyage back through time to pick up the ideal travel companion? The couple found and refurbished an old 1960s school bus, the key ingredient to cook up the ultimate road trip! Nevertheless, maintaining their home on wheels has kept the two wanderers on their toes throughout the journey. From being resourceful to winging it, from the Colorado wilderness to Rogers Pass near Revelstoke by way of Utah’s greatest snow on earth, and through their quest for an alternative lifestyle, the adventure takes shape. An adventure where sunrises and sunsets set the pace far from today’s social norms, an adventure filled with incredible encounters, untracked snow, fun, and sharing.
A ski/snowboard movie containing riding from Tromso, Norway Krasnaya Polyana, Russia and Valais, Switzerland. It's a good mix between street, bigmountain and BC kickers.
Like last year, they also lived under the slogan "DIY" this time - in such a way everything comes from their own hand: From filming the individual shots, over the video cut up to the dubbing. Travel with the boys to the best spots all over Austria and dive deep into the Japanese powder!

This movie was created during our Japan trip in February 2020. When Tim and Anna told us back in autumn 2019 that they will be ski guides in Niseko for the season 19/20 the boys and I couldn't let this opportunity go by and so we decided to plan a trip to visit them for a couple of days and explore the mysterious land called Hokkaido. The goal was to film as much as possible so that we can make a movie to help us memories all those beautiful moments.
We hope you have as much fun watching this movie, as we did making it. Cheers!

An exploration of the powder filled wonder of North America with the help and thrill of a throttle. I used to ride in the Truckee Rodeo and I always dreamt of being a rodeo queen. I wasn’t allowed to throw my hat in the ring because I didn’t own my own horse. I happily settled for the beer flag carrier between events atop a borrowed but trusty horse. Where do my skier and rodeo queen dreams meet? The moment I handed a country boy a stack of cash in rural Wyoming and got myself a snow pony… The trill of the ride, buck and wild, all to land atop untouched perfect snow, without a soul around.
I am always looking for ways to take things, especially my skiing, to the next level. Launching into snowmobiling for me is all about access. A way to a get to terrain to push and progress my skiing. The caveat? I had to learn something totally new first. Luckily, I have patient, funny friends that are willing to join me for the ride. Snow Pony follows myself and my friends as we sled and ski around the mountains of western North America, from Wyoming, to Revelstoke, to home in Tahoe. It’s an adventure, and I am a novice, but the snow, the skiing and the smiles are plenty! Let’s giv’er a whirl!
2020 was going really well until we went and Cronenberg’d ourselves. Editing this season's full part was as motivating as it was depressing. But going into our first full winter during a global pandemic, I’m excited to release this short and hopefully give myself and everyone else a reminder of how much joy and happiness skiing can bring. Hope everyone enjoys my latest season cut, “Cronenberg Morty.”

As I sit in isolation - awaiting the result of my covid test and watching Insta stories from opening day - I wanted to share one of the best times I had this summer.
Legal Dancing
When our local dance halls shut down we turned to the mountains looking for new opportunities to legally express ourselves. We moved our bodies through the strange times to keep the fire burning.
This is a story about trying to stay healthy in an infected world by creating movement, physically distanced but socially together...
