In 2021, sadly, the ski lifts never opened in the Dolomites, Italy. But when Arianna Tricomi called and invited us to her home mountains, we were quick to pack our bags.. This was a once in a life time experience, meaning skiing closed resorts (on foot of course) and having our own private playground. Join Arianna Tricomi, Paddy Graham and Dennis Ranalter while they explore the picturesque Dolomites.

There are no short film days when you're making a ski film.
From dawn to dusk, a film crew chased storms from Austria to Montenegro, exploring familiar territory and venturing into the unknown. Their goal? Make a stunning ski film.

“Lights, Camera, Action!" is the second film in Sideshow's new trilogy. Takuya Ishida and Daisuke Ito ski on the streets and in powder, in a variety of fields.
The film focuses on the "i" of the two, who were connected in the previous trilogy. They followed each other while filming, and skied from the beginning of the season to the late spring snow season. The film captures the two skiers and their companions who pursued to "perform" at their best in front of the lens.
The main story will be released after the premiere tour in October or on Vimeo On Demand and DVD.
Sorry, no action shots...not a lot of safe zones in the Utah backcountry right now so this past week I spent some time just sitting on a ridgeline and enjoying the view. Took these two motionlapses while relaxing.

This past season, seasoned veteran Markus Eder was reminded of an important lesson in backcountry safety, as he narrowly escapes an avalanche while filming for #Anywherefromhere. It is important to remember that no matter your level of experience and expertise, avalanches can happen and mistakes can be made. The key is learning from those mistakes and trying our best not to let them happen again. Backcountry snow safety is not only for you but for those around you as well.
Preparation is key when heading into the backcountry. We are proud to partner with onX Backcountry in bringing you the most powerful backcountry ski mapping tool ever created. For a limited time, get one month free, or 20% off your onX membership when you use the code "Matchstick20". Try the same backcountry touring app that Avalanche Forecasters, Matchstick Athletes, Cinematographers, and Ski Guides use.

onX is a great tool for getting into the backcountry, but it is far from the only tool you need. Always have a beacon, shovel, and probe, and be sure you know how to use them. Check the forecast, communicate with your team, and make a plan. Seek out opportunities to further your avalanche education. We have been learning for over 30 years, and the journey never stops.
Support your local avalanche center.

Little tease of this past spring filming on Montreal's Mont-Royal
This was hands down my favourite gap at Treble Cone, last winter in NZ!
Matt Sweet spotted it, Alistair Garland opened it, and I just followed along for the good times!
Here's some iphone and gopro shot I got. I had a super blessed season with only a couple conky's! Got to shred at Whistler, Grouse, Cypress, Seymour and Timberline, Thanks to all the homies who filmed and drove me to the hill. Doing it for @epilog_skis this coming season, and I couldn't be more stoked!

EQUINOX - Super excited to share the trailer for a project I’ve wanted to do for a while now.
This is my life. I wanted to showcase what I do in the summer that lets me be on snow everyday all winter. I’ve spent the last 8 summers fighting fire on a hotshot crew and living the dream skiing everyday in the winter. It’s been rewarding; at times taxing. It’s made me question the choices in my life that led me to some god forsaken hill that’s on fire but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
It lets me, be me.
I want to give a huge shout out to all the homies who help film and shred in the winter, to the boys in the summer, my sponsors who help me out in the winter, @samarmanino for absolutely crushing it with editing and putting it all together
Hopefully someone sees this and wants to become a hotshot. It’s seriously pretty fucking cool.
Pretty happy about this line.

This season has been unreal and definitely one to remember. With all that has been going on over the past year, I feel so grateful to have been able to ski as much as I have this season. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. Enjoy ❤️

Put together some clips from the past two years, finally. Hope you all enjoy!

Very thin and tons of rocks getting in and out. We're all hoping for 2-3 feet this weekend!
Finally put something together from last season. It's probably way to long for you all here on NS, doesn't include everyones favorite ski (looking at you bighorn) and virtually no park skiing, but it's still a bit of content that is worth sharing ;) Have some fun watching and hopefully it will lift the stoke for upcoming season.
oh yeah, no lifts were involved in making this video, cause France decided it was to dangerous.
Mostly skied on my Armada Magic J with Cast Touring (yes it's heavy, yeah it's worth it)..........................;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
