Winter camping and deep powder skiing. 3 metres of snow as a base and nonstop puking for 5 days. What a trip. British Columbia, of course.
Bushwacks, bootpacks, rappels and a few ski turns. A lot of sidestepping, some call it skiing. Two comrades, one splitboarder trying his luck on skis, second one cutting weight by losing his helmet and chopping off his finger. An all time crew living the alpine dream. Ski mountaineering edit from Rogers Pass, BC.
Great Salt Lake is at the lowest point in its recorded history. Without the lake, it skiers and riders of the Wasatch have little hope of continuing to enjoy the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City. Professional skier and atmospheric scientist explains that enjoyment of the Greatest Snow on Earth and the health of Great Salt Lake are inexorably linked.

It takes a certain type of crazy to ski the tight East Coast Glades. This is what happens when a 47 year old, ex-park rat, “Sends It” in those Glades.
What an amazing day it was with about 18”-20” of snow. I never thought I would be skiing like this after having ACL surgery 8 years ago.

This movie was created during our Japan trip in February 2020. When Tim and Anna told us back in autumn 2019 that they will be ski guides in Niseko for the season 19/20 the boys and I couldn't let this opportunity go by and so we decided to plan a trip to visit them for a couple of days and explore the mysterious land called Hokkaido. The goal was to film as much as possible so that we can make a movie to help us memories all those beautiful moments.
We hope you have as much fun watching this movie, as we did making it. Cheers!
Locations:
Niseko (Mt.Yotei/Mt. Chise Nupuri/ Mt. Iwaonupuri)

GoPro hero 5
Sony a6300

Kye and crew are back with another heater in The Sacred Grounds series, presented by MARKER! Part 4 'Descension' is stacked with the biggest spine lines and mid-line tricks we’ve seen yet in this series, enormous landscapes unique to the southern coast mountains of BC and a narration with a fresh view on preserving adventure in hopes of concealing info of exact locations to leave unknowns for future generations to explore. Filmed over 3 days in the backcountry of Pemberton BC and Squamish valley on big walls and spine zones full of heavy sluff, steep runnels and a touch of exposer. Get ready, sit back and enjoy the ride into more Sacred Grounds.

Every year i travel from flat Belgium to the mountains. Last year i spend the whole season in my camper around Tirol ( Austria).
A buddy visited me at the end of April and shot this little ski docu about skitouring, freeride, camperlife and making choices.
Season edit part 2 shows off all of the new tricks I learned this season. Second half of the edit was my favorite to make. Many of these were learned straight to snow, which feels amazing. Thanks again to everyone who filmed and rode! Couldn't have done this without the ski community that surrounds me in Utah.
Here’s my season edit!
Unfortunately most of my video files corrupted, so enjoy what I was able to salvage!
Thank you to all of my friends, family, and sponsors for supporting me and making the 2020 season one to remember
After an unreal first full season, seemed only right to put a couple of highlights together, HUGE shouts to the boys Adam Cooke, Luca Wasser, Jamie Ogilvie, and Justin Taylor-Tipton for repping our threads out on the hill this last year. Couldn't be more stoked with how it's been going so far. Thank you all for your support and we promise we'll keep trying to deliver the goods! As our second birthday is approaching we'll be making some big announcements and dropping more fresh garms to keep the hype real! PEACE 🙏🏿 #afterjamfam #afterjammin #ajworldwide
It's that time of year when I start getting RESTLESS for winter. Time to make some edits to hold me over. Here's a mid April powder day in the backcountry.
We're stoked to be partnering with Kye Petersen in the release of his "Sacred Grounds" series. We will be releasing new episodes of this 6 part series throughout the entire winter. Be sure follow @mspfilms on Instagram or subscribe to our YouTube channel to follow along!
Pursuing their dreams and putting professional skills and teamwork to the test, a group of close friends seek to turn time back and pioneer unexplored corners of the deep wilderness on skis in search. The Sacred Grounds short film series, presented by MARKER, takes the cast from their backyard of the southern Coast Range of BC, to the far reaches of the Northern BC/Alaska border, to the Japanese Alps, to the Columbia ranges of interior BC, to reaches of the Southern Chilcotins Mtns and beyond.
We are excited to share these adventures into undiscovered zones and 'Sacred Grounds' that hold the best possible terrain environment for displaying these riders passion for skiing. The mountains provide us with so many blessings but can also take it all away in an instant - for this respect is due, a life of dedication is needed, and a whole lot of effort is required, all of which is rewarded with the times of their lives when it all comes together.
Part 1 of the series takes us on a journey to a remote water locked cabin in an unexplored region of the South Coast of BC as well as through the backcountry skiing mecca known as the Sea To Sky Corridor [Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton], rediscovering the terrain that shaped these riders from youth.
We hope you enjoy the ride along on the journey into our Sacred Grounds.

Broke my ski and had to rent, so I got ever dollar I could out of these rentals.
On December 23rd, my roommates and I ventured up to the McGill area of Rogers Pass. Waiting for us was 120cms of storm snow and a really jolly day in the hills.
Eric Hjorleifson - aka Hoji - is about as legendary as they come in the free skiing world. Watch his skiing and it's easy to see why.
Hoji has been starring in MSP Films for nearly 20 years, and he sure isn't showing any signs of slowing down! Check out some of his best action from Anywhere From Here in this exclusive Athlete Edit!

First time at hood was a blast! thanks to all who filmed and every homie that camped out with us
Some people call him the prodigy. I prefer to call him Alex. Last week Alex and I went out and explored the terrain that lies three bowls southeast of Revelstoke Mountain Resort. It didn't disappoint!

It is my second movie production, new for this film is that it's a mixed ski and snowboard project. We let the riding and the locations carry the movie forward.
It's played out in chronological order from the start in Tromso, Norway during the dark arctic nights in the streets. Then we move through to Russia and Switzerland for powder and big mountain riding.
We finish it of by returning to the spring and midnight sun in Tromso. Here we get to showcase some more streetskiing, late night jump sessions and good times in the mountains. The goal of the movie is to show that you dont need a big budget or really expensive gear to produce a film with your friends.
Production and editing: Elias Henderson
Filmed by the athletes.
Aerial cinematogrophy: Elias Henderson, Mikko Jaakkola and Laura Nevala.
It is Christmas morning as I am writing this, and no presents could be better than knowing our ski season is off with a glorious start here at Roundtop Mountain Resort. The previous week we received natural snowfall which added to a base that was already laid by the snow-crew a few days prior. Nothing but crunchy corduroy and chopped but soft skied-out areas.
2020 has been a challenging year for all of us and I have also had to spend a lot of time recovering from surgery, thankfully we are near this year's end.
Thank you Santa, and Praise Ullr.
Got up early to ski skyscraper glacier and some random guy videoed our morning ski with his drone.

This is "You Go,I Go” - Official Trailer/Teaser - Sideshow" by Daisuke KURATA
"You Go, I Go" is a new movie after Sideshow's Ski Movie trilogy. This movie is a video work in which Takuya Ishida and Daisuke Ito skied not only on the street, powder, and ski resorts, but also in various other fields.
This movie features the two "i" who are connected in the trilogy. Two skiers skied while doing sessions in various places, and at the end of the season, the two got together, and skiers of different types synchronized in the session. It is also close to the inner thoughts of each of them, what kind of thoughts they had in the shooting and session.
The main story will be released after the premiere tour in November or on Vimeo On Demand.
This weeks Segment Saturday once again features the legendary Shane McConkey! In this full segment from 2003's "Focused", Shane explains "the closeout line" and his vision on the evolution of big mountain skiing. Shane truly was a pioneer and an inspiration to all.
